How can someone tell if their Garage is suitable for conversion?
Garage types
There are typically three types of garage; attached, integrated and detached. Attached or integrated garages are connected to the main house, sometimes to the side, or projecting out from the front with a bedroom above. An attached garage can usually be accessed from inside the house so makes conversion simpler.
A detached garage can still be suitable for conversion however as you would be changing its use you would need to check with your local council planning department whether a conversion would be outside permitted development rights.
Run us through the different stages of the Garage conversion process - what's involved?
Architect; to design your conversion and along with a structual engineer will provide structual plans for the builder.
The Architect often will submit the plans to meet Local Council Building Regulations which are a requirement (even though planning in the main is not)
The builder will then follow the plans and throughout will work closely with the local building inspector to ensure the project runs smoothly

I enjoy producing something that is both ergonomic and aesthitically pleasing.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I worked with a smashing chap for many years and really enjoyed seeing the various projects we worked on develop into something practical.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I and my co workers have worn suitable masks as advised by the goverment during the pandemic when working in close proximity. In addition personal hygeine and cleanliness has and is an integral part of our daily routine.

From Concept to Completion I ensure the conversion runs smoothly and produces a professional conversion that you will be proud off.
I pride myself on reliability and communication with the client, ensuring every stage is clearly explained. I personally communicate with the building inspector and update the client as the project moves along. I hold City and Guilds in Construction and a BTEChnd in Design.
Plastering
I provide an interior only plastering service including: Skimming, Bonding, Dry Lining, Tape and Joint. I also erect new partitions and re line walls with new plasterboard systems.
