Worked here for a few weeks, called in sick one day and got harassed on the phone none stop phone calls so decided to leave, I wasn’t paid for my weeks of work after constant chasing it up with Alison the owner she ignored me continuously and never got paid, happened to someone I know they worked there too, he handed in his notice and she didn’t pay him correctly, disgusting as I worked so hard there and petrol, etc was never covered, nice food but avoid if you want to work here.

Me and my family went to Henfield for a little mooch and ended up in Relish cafe. I didn’t realise that they do some lovely speciality tea’s, chai and vanilla was delicious with oat milk. My step son loved his lemon drizzle cake. The vegan options look great. We will definitely come back for a meal. I particularly liked the attention to detail, heating up the milk for my tea was a nice touch. Staff really friendly and the cafe has a generally chilled vibe. Nice little gem! More...

I just had the best roast beef sandwich I've ever had in my whole life. Sooo good! The Café was full up (not surprising! ) so luckily only wanted to take something away as I was on my lunch break. I was contacted within a couple of days by the Relish Cafe, and a price and menu were agreed quickly. On the day, the two men arrived promptly, and set up the buffet as agreed, leaving my kitchen spotless and the food beautifully displayed on rustic boards. My guests all remarked on the professional presentation and how lovely the "chefs" were. The food (Poynings menu) itself was amazing, especially the ham, home-made quiches, brownies and pavlova, and many guests made second and third trips to the buffet. All the food was very high quality, and the selection of local cheeses and accompaniments was extremely impressive. Thanks to Alison and the Relish team my birthday party for 30 guests was extremely sucessful, and I was able to enjoy myself fully, chatting to my friends and serving drinks, without having to worry about food as well. Today was the second time we came here and oh my goodness it was lovely! Alison was super accommodating to my allergy and dietary needs (being coeliac and a veggie! ) she went out of her way to make sure I could eat a good breakfast today! Staff are wonderful, friendly and attentive. Food is unbelievable! Great coffee! Even more so, I notice a wonderful selection of sustainable and ethical products for sale! Right up my street! They could improve by not being told rudely by Alison, The Manager not to take phone calls. Mine was urgent but cut off cos of her coarse voice. She welcomede the new people with "Relish" but if you are a regular treats you like dirt. I have spent £100s there only to be treated like this. She told me not to use mobile in cafe when single for business. The young girls the "dont know"what Alison done b4 but obe not in cafe business. My Good Friedndat West Sussex County Times always wants to do an article on a rude Manager. Shld be published within 2 weeks he is also wants to get it on the Front Page, Relish estabished 2019 closed at the most Jan 2021! Enjoy t and would be able to move more. Always a bonuys.
