I'm so thankful I looked on bark before choosing a photographer. I had a few responses and after looking through the photographer's websites I decided to respond to James due to his beautiful and unique images. From the initial conversation I knew we were in good hands. I described the style I was looking for and he found the most amazing location. On the day of the shoot James' creative direction was fantastic. My daughters absolutely loved every minute of their shoot. The end result... wow. The images surpassed my expectations and I am now the proud owner of beautiful art work adorning all of my walls. I cannot recommend James enough and will definitely be calling him again. More...
What do you love most about your job?
I really enjoy being able to present a customer with art that can be kept for generations to come. Photographing on location is always a good time and not what people expect it to be.
What inspired you to start your own business?
My love for photography stemmed from visiting places abroad. I always wanted to try to avoid capturing the "tourist" shot and try for a different perspective. Once I arrived home in 2010 I got my first DSLR and got on a course. Portrait Photography was never an avenue I considered until I watched a tutorial video of an amazing photographer talking about the possibilities of using one light during shoots. I really wanted to give this a go and from there it turned into on location portraiture. I wasn't a fan of the studio so being outside and using the elements to enhance a feeling within an image is what has driven me to where I am. I finally found a career I love doing.
