I am a qualified teacher with QTLS status, which put simply means I have had experience in working in Primary and Secondary schools in around London. I have had over 10 years experience within Education.
Over the past two years I have worked as a one to one tutor with Remedy Education, specialising in English language and English literature tuition to GCSE level.

What do you love most about your job?
I have worked in Education for over 10 years and there have been many inspiring and wonderful moments. I have been lucky to have worked with some amazing young people and believe strongly in empowering young people to have a voice.
I enjoy inspiring young people to achieve their maximum potential. I am passionate about language and literature and enjoy developing students own critical responses to language and literature beyond " I like it " ! Developing these linguistic and expressive skills, in my opinion go beyond taking a GCSE exam. Clear communication and expression is a skill to take beyond the classroom and exam, its a skill for life.
Seeing the process of students develop their creative writing and also developing a passion for literature is very rewarding and something which I will never tire of.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have had many years of experience and would now like to work solely with teaching in mind.

Yes. I have had a lot of experience working online.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I am now working online only. I have found this method to be very effective. I currently use zoom and have found students respond really well to online learning. There are many features on this platform that can be used to share resources and information very quickly and clearly.
English Language and English Literature tuition
I can provide tuition to help support students through their English language and English literature GCSE exam.
What we will do in the sessions.
Practice exam questions/ papers using past AQA ( Exam board ) papers.
Feed back on past papers and questions
Practising PEEL method to answer exam questions
Studying and Identifying language features in text / poetry
Studying parts of text together and deeper analysis
Studying various writers and poets
Fun creative writing sessions
Sessions will be structured and there will be clear outcomes for each session to effectively track progress.
