We had a good experience with the boiler installation 15 months ago and then subscribed to the annual service and breakdown with RBHM. The service was completed over 4 weeks ago, and two faults were identified to the engineer who was going to report them to be fixed. A few days later a certificate for the service was sent by email. This certificate did not have the model and serial number on it and I responded to the email to inquire whether this certificate was valid without this information and that the two faults were not reported. There was no response to the email. I called the office number and gave these details to a lady who apologised and said someone would call back on my mobile number. It is now one week later, no one has called. I have tried to call the office number on 3 occasions and the call rings out and no facility to leave a message. Henry and Aaron and the other workers at RBHM worked very hard throughout. They were very skilled and experienced. They talked us through the various work to be completed and made sure that all the materials and parts were ready and correct for the job. New boiler fitted in a fourth floor flat (which needed a flue through a flat roof with no easy access!) which I thought was quite a challenge! From making an initial enquiry to Viessmann who put forward RBHM Ltd as an improved installer, to getting a quote from Matt, to having a site inspection from Richard and then having the actual installation done by Henry and Aaron the whole process was quick and efficient and sorted in 11 days from the day my old boiler broke down. Henry and Aaron were great on the installation, protection was put down on the carpets and they cleaned up well after the work was completed. There were a couple of issues that needed resolving about the installation and they worked well with me to come up with the best solutions. I had a Viessmann boiler installed at the beginning of August 2022. It was carried out over one day by 2 engineers one of whom only stayed for a couple of hours installing most of the new gas pipe run from the meter in the garage. The majority of the work including the boiler installation was done by another engineer which was the worst botch-job of any kind I have ever witnessed. Firstly he decided to drill a new condensation outlet through the wall despite the boiler being sited in the exact spot where the previous boiler was located and a condensation outlet already exist. When I queried why he done this there was no plausible explanation provided. The new condensation outlet was not only going through a new hole in the wall into a highly precious, healthy wall climber on the other side, it was also running atop the worktop for nearly a metre. The only reason I can gather as to why this was done was to make it an easier installation, irrespective of the outcome for the customer. Secondly he decided to mount the new gas pipe against my kitchen wall units instead of against the wall. This is almost certainly the stupidest thing I could ever imagine anyone doing, given that there is clearly space next to the wall units to mount the gas pipe. I am not sure whether this was just bad planning and he failed to install the gas pipe before fixing the boiler in position but to secure a gas pipe against a non-permanent kitchen unit must the the apex of incompetence. Not only does this causes future issues when the kitchen units are replaced, it has also resulted in numerous large screw holes piercing the units along the side of the unit, which he attempted to "dremelled off" leaving numerous burn marks along the interior. He moved the gas pipe to the wall after I pointed this out but unfortunately the damages have already been done. Thirdly, to avoid running the new gas pipe run along the wall requiring 3 separate 90 degree bends, he opted to used 1 bend to by-pass this. This leaves a section of approx. 1m of gas pipe dangling unsecured against the wall. This is despite there being roof beams which this pipe can clearly be secured against. Having any unsecured gas pipe dangling from the ceiling is not desirable at the best of times, let alone in a garage where tall, long items are often stored and moved about leading to risk of accidental damage. When I pointed this out he added an extra bracket to mitigate the flexing of the dangling pipework but this is still far from ideal. It is unfortunate that my experience has been so marred by this atrocious service. I had chosen RBHM because they came up near the top of online searches especially for the installation of Viessmann boilers - which through my research was considered the best. The service from RBHM, however, was the very opposite of what can be considered competence or professional. I did raise these issues with RBHM Management but they were not particularly interested - I guess they have got their fee and can wash their hands. This behaviour is very much akin to a cowboy outfit in my opinion. Fortunately Viessmann does provide top-notch after-sales services so I do not need to call on RBHM ever again. I thought long an hard about leaving a review but I feel that this atrocious level of services needs to be flagged. When they changed my boiler they changed the pump despite it not needing changing and then charged me for it nearly 2 month later. The "engineer" didn't have the correct parts to complete the job and so I had to go to screwfix for them twice to buy parts myself. The pipes no longer fit into the original pipe clips properly and so the whole system now creaks and bangs as the pipes expand. More...

Had a new boiler fitted in May. Discovered in September the gas pipe had not been sealed properly which could’ve resulted in killing us all. Attempted to use heating last week and it wouldn’t work. We had low water pressure and whilst I wanted Thames Water to check the pressure from the street I also suspected that the older Megaflow cylinder may need replacing. RBHM came and took a look and there was no hard sell. In fact they almost tried to talk me out of replacing the cylinder. But once Thames Water had exhausted their plan I had no hesitation in choosing RBHM to replace the Megaflow. Their pricing was better and the service was excellent. I chose RBHM over some more local firms (and the anonymous internet options) and very pleased I did. Firstly, Matt, who performed an onsite survey to compile a quote, did a more thorough job than others who surveyed - including checking water flow rate and gas pipe diameters. Then, he followed up with patience and professionalism as I explored different boiler options with him. I received good impartial advice which ensured I was well informed and happy with the choice and recommendation. (The price beating the competition also helped). On install day Ryan turned up on schedule and jumped right into the job, including replacing some pre-existing spaghetti pipework. All aspects of the install were tested fully, I was kept informed and involved as needed during the install, and he left the kitchen tidier than it was before he arrived. In the end you wouldn't have known someone had just spent half a day replacing my boiler. I contacted RBHM for a new boiler quotation and someone was sent to us (in Reading) and explained everything and tested our water pressure to make sure we could get what we wanted, the price was what we expected and it included the removal of our old back boiler from behind the chimney and tanks in the loft. We were offered 3 different choices and went for the best in my vue with the Worcester Bosh 36cdi compact. Our neighbours recommended RBHM and I'm so happy we went with them. The team were very professional, from the salesman who was able to accurately assess the water coming into the property and flow rates to the fitters who were courteous and did a great job of taking out our old boiler and replacing with a new one same day and all this in just over a week! We thought we would have to go with a separate boiler and tank so were really glad to hear we could have a combi. As a result our water pressure is now phenomenal. Cost - Final cost was over the original quote due to issues found on the day, Many of these sorted at cost price. Service - Was excellent and nothing extra was done without consultation. Cleanliness - Good considering what was completed on the day and that I agreed the kitchen cabinets did not need to be re-built around boiler as they were being replaced at a later date.
