A huge thank you to Ian and the team on the London routemaster for making our wedding incredible the other week! All guests were thrilled to be taken to our stunning venue on the wedding bus and it really made a fantastic start to our special day. Thank you to quirky wedding cars. We originally booked William for our wedding car, but the weather was never on our side for him to join us but they stayed in contact all week to keep me updated and on the day even though the rain stopped it was still too windy, they had a backup plan which was faye I think my dad absolutely loves old cars and was speaking with the driver asking about her even to the point in wanting to look at the engine thank you again for lovely day and we have just had pic back from the photographer

I had the classic beetle and VW camper van for my wedding on Friday at Preston court and I can’t recommend them enough, from start to finish they were perfect. The guy that drove me and my dad to Preston court was amazing, so helpful so chatty and so willing to help. Quirky Cars were brilliant. My Dad corresponded with them to get them booked about 10 months before our wedding date. They were very professional, friendly and helpful really going the extra mile. Our driver Wayne was fantastic and lovely. He was very courteous and gentlemanly, helping me in and out of the car on the day in my dress and being patient while we take numerous photos! We had JUF the land rover and Polly the ice cream van for our big day and I couldn’t think of a better car to have for personal reasons JUF was the only car I wanted to take me to the church and all the team worked with us to make our journey to and from the church faultless even in the rain they held out umbrellas for us. I can’t recommend these guys enough. The ice cream van was loved by everyone and such a great extra to have at our wedding our guests all got ice creams and there was still left overs. What do you love most about your job?
We have an absolute passion for everything with wheels attached, having provided our services to Kent couples for over 10 years being able to combine our passion of cars and all things weddings is a magic combination!
What inspired you to start your own business?
Its fair to say that we never set out to start up a wedding car business. Our story started way back in 2008 in a supermarket car park. We are a family business, and our owner had just spent the prior two years restoring a classic LandRover "JUF" which was used for fun days out and trips to the supermarket. During one such trip we were approached by a couple who asked if we would drive the bride to her wedding later that year. Having concerns over the legality of providing such a service we declined, however agreed to pass on our contact number to the couple. The bride was very persistent, and having checked that we could provide such a service within the law (as long as we did not make any charge for the service) we duly drove the bride to her wedding.
A few months later we were contacted by the bride to tell us that her wedding was to be featured in a national wedding magazine, and she advised that she had given the Editor our company name as "Quirky Wedding Cars". Having absolutely loved driving at the couples wedding, we then decided to setup a website to "catch" any interest from the magazine feature wedding. From their the rest is history, at the time we were the only classic LandRover wedding car in the country and as such traveled all over the UK. We then expanded our fleet to include Morris Minors and VW Campervans and became so well known for quality of service and attention to detail that we soon found that we no longer needed to travel outside of Kent and London.
As our reputation grew, and we started to get constant requests for more traditional wedding cars we extended our fleet into the less quirky and more traditional, and even included a London icon in a Routemaster bus.

With vintage and classic cars things can sometimes go wrong, and anybody that says otherwise probably does not have the level of experience that we do, that said we always have a plan to ensure that all runs smoothly on the day.
