John was initially quick to come round and give us a quote for a new 10-bay fence. We agreed a price and set a date for 26-Apr. On the 25th of April, John called me and told me that he had put his back out so would have to reschedule for the 3rd of May.

There was no communication from John until I called him on the 3rd of May and he confirmed that they would be round later that day. At around 3pm, John turned up with another lad and offloaded 10 panels and 10 posts onto our lawn, then left, saying they would be back later.

My wife and I went to the cinema - when we came back, 1 panel had been erected, the rest were still on the lawn.

There was no communication to let me know what was going on.

I called John and he told me that they would be back the following day to finish the job.

Saturday 4th of May, John and two other lads came at about 2pm and put the rest of the panels in, however John informed me that he had not counted the number of posts correctly and needed another one. He told me that he had one on his van and would come round on bank holiday Monday (6th May) to put the last panel in.

At this point, I was extremely happy with the work. The fence looks lovely, and I transferred the full amount to John's account as I believed that the job would be completed on the Monday. I was wrong.

There was no sign of John on the Monday, nor did he contact me to let me know what was going on. My wife and I have both tried to contact him via text, telephone and IM without any response over the course of the following week.

In a nutshell, the work they have done is excellent. The communication is non-existent, and I am learning through bitter experience that paying up-front for a part-complete job is not a good idea (even if the workman seems to hold his reputation and business in high-regard) More...

John did an amazing job, overcoming an unexpected wall , brambles, and even a bees nest. Would definitely recommend this business, both for quality and affordability.

Absolutely outstanding!! Turned up on time proving top quality reliability, took away our old fence panels, good use of top quality materials cleaned up all the mud after themselves and even worked hard in the most hideous weather during storm Doris! ! ( now that's what I call commitment)

OUTSTANDING! Quite simply, John and Anthony provided excellent service to install what really is a quality fence. The transformation is amazing. Not only did they prove to be 100% reliable (always arrived on time, provided a product of quality, took away the old fence and other garden waste without a quibble) but they also provided excellent value for money - with a smile X 2! After being let down by 4 different fencing companies, we couldn’t have asked for a better service than we got from Quality Affordable Fencing. The guys were great with communication prior to and during the job with nothing being too much trouble. They came out even in freezing temperatures, the ground was literally frozen solid and the following day was massive downpours but that still didn’t stop them!!! They had stubborn old posts and extremely boggy ground to work with and they still completed it to an extremely high standard with smiles still on their faces.
