Absolutely delicious. We asked for Purple Plum to use their judgment in deciding what to serve at a party for around 20 -- vegetarian being the only main stipulation -- and it was just excellent. Amazing halloumi and aubergine fritters to start followed by a kind of mushroom pot pie that was so rich, everyone was convinced it was meat. Thank you for the best moussaka I have ever tasted! Julia was incredibly obliging at rather short notice for a dinner party I hosted. She made a delicious array of vegetarian and meat platters, fresh salads - we were so full and had plenty leftover for Sunday lunch too. A very belated thank you for making our wedding so special and cooking the most delicious supper. So many people commented on the food and it really was delicious. NW Brown Group Ltd has engaged Purple Plum since September for their business lunches in Norwich and Julia has definitely taken the quality of catering up a notch. Guests compliment on the delicious home cooked food as a recipe for success and her portions are generous. Julia and team catered for our outdoor wedding in August 2016. As soon as we'd had the testing session, we just relaxed as the food was fab and Julia had so many good ideas based on listening to what sort of things we liked. We had lamb/feta stuffed squash as mains and many lovely, creative salads which took account of all the various restrictions (nuts, gluten, citrus.... Julia even prepared a bespoke adapted dish for one guest where necessary) in our party. We had loads of kids attending and seated them separately with a simplified children's menu which worked well, particularly the brownies!
We had some last minute additions to the guest list and all was fine. Loads of compliments on the food including the evening buffet of hams, cheeses etc. We had the most relaxed, brilliant day and the food was a significant part of that - thank you all! More...
