I met Merle when she was a fitness instructor at Neilson. I loved her classes, especially my 1:1 combat session where she taught me loads. She's passionate, enthusiastic and really knows her stuff she's able to cater for all fitness levels. She's fab! More...

As a fitness instructor with 28 years experience I'm not easy to please. However, I thoroughly enjoyed Merle's classes and found her knowledgeable, professional and approachable. There are so many instructors in the business now, but it's an absolute pleasure to meet someone who not only has passion, but knowledge, experience and a great personality. I was happy with my fitness routine. I was going to the gym regularly and doing my own thing. That is until I crossed paths with Merle and Orange Theory Fitness. After a taster session I was hooked. Merle was there at the start of each session planting a high five in your palm, firing you and the group up as you took to the treadmill. I have cerebral palsy and Merle took the time to ask me about my disability and what it meant for me. Whilst she pushed me within my limits, she carefully and considerately took me out of them as well. She motivated me when she could see it was getting hard and that kept me going in those all outs and push pace moments. Merle is big on technique and regularly spent time helping me prefect my technique to ensure I got more from the exercises I was doing. If there were certain exercises, I struggled with Merle always had an adaptation in her back pocket, so I never missed out. Merle has helped to instill in me over the last 6 months a confidence that I never knew I had. To be able to challenge myself beyond what I thought I was physically and mentally capable of. I have noticed changes in my fitness levels as well as how I look and feel. After an hour’s workout with Merle I’m absolutely buzzing! Q&As

* Clients who choose meal plans only will receive a goal-setting pack (pdf) with guidelines on how to set realistic goals, a progress tracking sheet for measuring their progress (before and after photos, body measurements and weight), weekly planner, and daily journal for them to use to get into new routines.

* Clients who choose the 4/8/12 week workout programs (with or without meal plans), will have a goal-setting session with me. They will also get access to the Trainerize app where their goals can be set and progress statistics will be visible in graphs: progress photos, body measurements and weight, food intake (linked to MyFitnessPal), the meal plans will be available there plus optional habit coaching is available for free (like sleep tracking, water intake, etc).

What is Intermittent Fasting?
Intermittent fasting basically means restricting the hours you eat per day to an eating window. It is also often referred to as a lifestyle, rather than a diet.

• a "how to use this meal plan" guide;

• a food swop list to use this meal plan endlessly;
• 28-days pre-meal (to correctly break your fast), meal 1, snack and meal 2 to fit into your eating window;

WHO WILL THE MEAL PLAN BEST SUIT?

Both for beginners and experienced fasters, and can be adjusted to men and women (18+).

DAILY fasting 12:12 - 14:10 - 16:8 - 18:6 and if you OCCASIONALLY fast 20:4 you can omit one meal and/or snack during that particular eating window.

You can also use it if you apply CRESCENDO (alternate day) fasting - the guide has instructions on how to do that.

WHO SHOULD NOT USE THIS MEAL PLAN?

DO NOT commence with this meal plan before you have consulted your physician if:
- you have diabetes or other problems with blood sugar regulation;
- you have low blood pressure;
- you are underweight and/or have a history of eating disorders (ie. anorexia or bulimia nervosa);
- you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or are breastfeeding;
- you are under the age of 18;
- you have any doubts or concerns about your health or have been diagnosed with any medical condition and/or are receiving medical treatment and/or are using (chronic) medication.
