I booked a tour for my friends 80th birthday, there was 6 in our party & we had the most fantastic day.Titch took us around Lustleigh where Gwen was born & all around her old haunts then on too the moors,too places we had never seenlovely lunch at Manaton then on again looking at spectacular scenery which we all take for granted. Titch was a wonderful host,so knowledgeable, curteous, helpful and more than anything, great fun The land rover was very comfortable, great for seeing the views & most importantly easy access for those not so young!! My teenage grandson and I had a thoroughly enjoyable day with Tich Scott, whose knowledge of Dartmoor results from his having lived there all his life and his family having lived there for several hundred years. In addition to being knowledgeable, Tich is a delightful person who is fun to be with. His love of Dartmoor is quite contagious. I highly recommend a day with Tich as a way to see the back roads and hear the back stories of Dartmoor. More...

We went on a tour with Titch for a surprise birthday present yesterday. We all had an amazing time with Titich who showed us parts of the Moor we have never and probably would never of seen although we are all residents of Dartmoor ourselves! !!! Titch was extremely knowledgeable and made sure we had a fantastic day and I cannot wait to go on another one (apparently the "Pub" version is also very good. :-) ) . Absolutely amazing!!!! Tich took 4 of us on a tour of a lifetime! I've been to Dartmoor twice before coming over from the U. S. and it's honestly my favorite place on earth. Now more so than ever. One in our party has lived here for 74 years and learned new things. We all thought he was just brilliant and had a great knack to tell history and have a good laugh along the way. Thank you so much again for such a wonderful time yesterday Tich! We booked a Proper Dartmoor Tour as a surprise for my Mum's 70th birthday as we wanted to do something completely different. It was the perfect excuse as I had wanted to go on one of Tich's tours for a very long time. Dartmoor was stunning as always, we were blessed with the weather and we got to see many parts of the moor that we have never been to before despite having lived here for 18 years! The landrover was very comfortable and we learnt so much about the moors and their history along with that of the folk who have lived here for generations. I can't recommend Proper Dartmoor Tours highly enough, if you want a fun and interesting day out on Dartmoor then you can't beat Tich for his knowledge and entertainment! We had the most amazing day with Titch yesterday. He picked us up from Okehampton and took us away on a Dartmoor adventure. We are all local but the knowledge and passion from Titch meant that we discovered new places and learnt things about Dartmoor we never knew.
