My son was struggling with his English in primary school, I arranged for Mrs Adam’s to spend an hour each week with him, her work ethic and style suited the both of us, getting him through years 5 & 6 and his SATs. James has this year left Broughton High School AND managed to achieve his much needed level 4 (C) in English Language, I believe that had he not spent this time with Mrs Adam’s 6/7 years ago he may have continued to struggle to achieve what is an essential qualification. What do you love most about your job?
I love inspiring confidence in the children I work with; watching them see for themselves what they can achieve with the right help.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I am a qualified teacher. When I worked as a classroom teacher, there was never enough hours in the day to spend time supporting every child in my class. I decided to provide 1:1 tuition in the evenings to help those children who were struggling in main stream school. At the start of the pandemic, I shifted to working online and helping small groups of children keep up to date with their learning. We have continued to provide online sessions alongside our face to face sessions ever since.

We have a classroom in Fulwood, Preston where we provide both 1:1 and small group lessons. We also provide online lessons for those who wish to learn from home or for those children who live too far away. We tutor children all over the world.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We provide online lessons for those that are shielding. Our classroom surfaces are all cleaned with antibacterial spray between sessions and hand sanitiser is provided.
English KS1 and KS2
All areas of English support and exam preparation for SATs and 11+.
English KS3 and KS4
All areas of English Language and Literature support including GCSE exam preparation.
English A-Level
All areas of English Language and Literature support including exam preparation.
Maths KS1 and KS2
All areas of Maths support including exam preparation for SATs and 11+.
Maths KS3 and KS4
All areas of Maths support including GCSE exam preparation.
Maths A-Level
All areas of Maths support and exam preparation.
Phonics KS1 & KS2
Specific 1:1 intervention for children with gaps in their Phonics knowledge.
We also run small group Phonics sessions for those who just want a little extra help with the sounds they are learning in school.
11+ exam preparation
We cover the GL, CEM and ISEB exam syllabus.
Verbal Reasoning
We cover the verbal reasoning syllabus for GL, CEM and ISEB in relation to the 11+ and 13+ exam entry requirements.
Non Verbal Reasoning
We cover the non verbal reasoning syllabus for GL, CEM and ISEB in relation to the 11+ and 13+ exam entry requirements.
