Hi, my name is Gemma and I’m an experienced KS2 tutor providing professional individual and group tuition for primary school-aged children in years 3 to 6.
I'm a fully qualified, experienced primary school teacher with enhanced DBS who began teaching in 2004, where I taught English abroad before returning to the UK gaining my PGCE in Primary Education with QTS and embarking on a career as a primary school teacher.

What do you love most about your job?
Nothing beats that moment when the penny drops and a concept that a child has been struggling with suddenly makes sense. To quote a child in a recent lesson, "Maths used to make me anxious. Now that you've explained things in different ways that make sense, I'm really enjoying it!"
What inspired you to start your own business?
It was heartbreaking to see so many pupils in schools not getting the individual support that they needed due to the ever-growing teacher workload and pressure.

Yes! I use innovative technology to engage students over Zoom including a state-of-the-art shared whiteboard, visualiser and online manipulative resources. If children have access to both an iPad and a computer, that is the ideal set up.
