I would highly recommend Alice and Puppy School. Classes weren't the right environment for our puppy, Bramble, which Alice was quick to recognise - and offered alternative sessions at home instead, which we have all really benefited from. Training sessions were positive, fun, and aimed at including the whole family. We got a lot out of training, and feel we understand Bramble a whole lot more. Thanks Alice! More...

I would not hesitate to recommend both Alice and Becky at the Positive Dog Training Company - we have benefitted from both the weekly puppy classes and several 121 sessions in our home, and with their support and advice have turned a severely anxious and nervous 10 week old puppy into a super confident, loving, well trained boy! Our instructor, Alice, was absolutely brilliant. My puppy was the smallest in the class and although not the most nervous he certainly excelled during the weeks , finishing off the course with the only time he did a roll over and down. Because of his shape (mini daschund) he found it difficult to down but Alice took the time to show me a different way of requesting this more suited to my boy. We had Alice as our trainer. The maximum of six pups to a group worked well as did the venue.

The reward-based training was positive and effective and Alice was a fun and engaging trainer.

My 14 week old Eds (working cocker) was a little challenging to say the least when starting class. So much energy & lots of noise & over excitement at everything in site.
Alice has taught us so much & he’s honestly like a different puppy. I now know he’s a very clever boy that needs lots of mental stimulation & training & with lots of hard work both at class & at Home I’m now rewarded with a much calmer, more obedient & happy chap. Taking our little Jimmy ( wired hair dachshund ) to Alice’s classes was the best move we could do. Both Alice and Becky have helped turn our lives around and I cannot recommend them enough! We had a very nervous, anxious puppy who had severe separation issues - but now we have a totally wonderful confident, happy, loving boy and you would never imagine how he was when he came to us in late December 17. Through the Puppy School weekly classes with Alice, and several private 121s with Becky we have been able to overcome all of the issues our boy faced. What a wonderful training school! We had recently adopted a lovely Staffordshire Bull Terrier puppy from a local rescue centre and wanted to ensure that he did not reinforce peoples misconceptions of this breed. Our tutor Alice was fabulous and clearly explained everything, helping where needed. Alice has a lovely, positive and encouraging approach to all of her puppy training. I recently attended puppy school with my Labrador and during the six week course, my puppy's behaviour and confidence grew in leaps and bounds. Alice was careful not to rush her when she was so timid in the first weeks and I now have a well-motivated dog who is willing and happy to please. I would recommend puppy school/ university to anyone who is thinking about getting a puppy. I attended both puppy school and puppy university with my labrador puppy and it was the best thing I could have done for my dog. Every puppy should go to Puppy School. It's been amazing watching Dylan change from a quiet, shy puppy into a confident, sociable puppy, and all thanks to our brilliant trainer Alice.
