I ordered an afternoon tea and it certainly didn't disappoint. enough for two persons and very tasty. the quiche was pleasant with the pastry being nice and thin and crispy. traditional sausgae roll and the cheese and pickle were top notch but what scored the highest point was the amazing scotch egg. the outter coating of panco the flavoursome sausage meat and the perfect egg inside. this was hands down the best scotch egg I have ever had. what was nice is that the warming of the savouries made it more of a lunch tea than a carpet picnic it added something more to it. so far the cakes have gone down well they are not too sweet and a lovely balance. Yesterday we received the most beautiful surprise gift from Piglets Pantry. When opening the box my eyes nearly popped out, it was shear delight and the smell of the pastries was wonderful. I have spent £72 on afternoon tea for 4 and a little piglets afternoon tea. All should have arrived today for a special event tomorrow (I arranged delivery a day before in case there were any issues). I’ve received no DPD tracking and can’t get in touch as you are closed today. Quite upsetting for our 3 year old that was looking forward to this too. I will be calling on Monday. We have used Piglets Pantry many times now for lots of family events and even sent friends and family afternoon teas as gifts. Really proud this is a local business to us and an exceptional one at that. The food is always beautifully packaged and faultless, there is something for every single family member (even the picky eaters). I recently ordered this to celebrate my Dad’s 60th birthday where we had afternoon tea for 12 people. Was a little worried by previous reviews but the afternoon tea we received was fantastic. Full of yummy treats. Received early on the day I requested & when I rang to ask how long the food would last, they replied straight away. Would definitely book in the future for gifts. Only criticism would be that it doesn’t advise anywhere how long the food could be kept for before eating which is handy to know if ordering for a special occasion and want to make sure it’ll arrive on time. My sister sent me an afternoon tea box for 4 people and there was loads of delicious food. Just wanted to put a positive review after reading the previous negative ones. My dad is 82 and having suffered a stroke has poor mobility. Buying for Father’s Day seems more difficult now until I found your site last year. I had delivered one of your Father’s Day hampers and he absolutely LOVED it! Not just something to put on the side but something he thoroughly enjoyed you could tell. Due to his diabetes playing up decided on the savoury box for 2 this year and again he couldn’t wait to enjoy it with my brother!
