Physical Therapy

I had highly inflamed Achilles and I knew I needed some urgent attention and Physiotherapy treatment. I decided to reach out to Miles who made contact with me via Bark on a job I posted a few weeks prior to my Achilles getting worse. Overall I have been highly impressed with the techniques Miles had used to improve the mobility of my right leg. In Mile’s own words, he has not seen someone make such a fast recovery as I have and this is all thanks to Miles. I followed the instructions he gave me and pushed my way through the pain. Miles also pinpointed the impacted areas and focused on massaging those ligaments. Whilst my Achillies are still tender I am feeling far better than I was at the start of the physiotherapy. I found Miles to be very respectful, understanding, and compassionate towards me and my situation. I would highly recommend Miles to anyone who is considering Physiotherapy. More...

Miles was very good at understanding my injury(wrist fracture) and how to go about with it.There was a considerable improvement within 20 minutes of therapy + exercise.
I definitely recommend Miles as a physio.

Q&As

Educating and empowering people to understand their injury/pain, so they can make informed decisions about their care, but most of all put you in a good position to self manage

My own troubles with Achilles pain at a young age motivated me to understand my diagnosis. I then based my thesis at university on management of Achilles tendon pain with scope to help others who may be experiencing similiar issues.

My ethos is always to educate patients, so ultimately you wont need me, as you’ll be able to self-manage your injury effectively long-term to either prevent reoccurrence.

All services are provided in person at a location of your choice if within my radius.

- Patients must confirm if they have developed or come into contact within the last 14 days prior to appointments.
This is further confirmed in writing at assessments.
- Patients can opt for masks to be worn or not and latex free gloves are always worn throughout manual and exercise-based therapy.

Services

Deep soft tissue (Sports) massage, along with joint mobilisation/manipulations are great manual therapy techniques used to specifically improve range of movement, reduce muscle tension, pain and optimise function alongside other treatments.

Dry cupping involves simple application of suction cups to stimulate muscles and is particularly helpful in the treatment of aches and pains.
It’s use has been known to enhance blood circulation and reduce elevated muscle activity.

Targeted strength and conditioning is essential to restoring full functionality to injured/painful muscles and joints.
Each programme provided is tailored to your needs and empowers you to self-manage outside of therapy
