What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
With people it's all about the engagement between photographer & subject. The lighting is of course important, after all, the word photography comes from the ancient Greek, "writing with light" but fundamentally the right rapport is the secret ingredient.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
An impossible question to answer as it depends on the project. But I'm thorough and detailed and like to make sure we have a completely shared understanding of what you want to achieve.
What do you love most about your job?
Every day puts something different in front of my lens.
What inspired you to start your own business?
After 30 years in corporate life, in multiple countries I wanted the flexibility and stability that only comes from being in control of your own destiny.
Why should our clients choose you?
Professionalism. There are lots of good photographers around (and a fair few bad ones - in the era of the iPhone everyone thinks they're a photographer) but at the end of the day, good business is about doing what you say you'll do. I have a 30 year track record of this and it's the ultimate transferable skill.
