Gordon took some fantastic photos of my daughter last month. Not only was the photoshoot cheap, but the photos were of great quality and to a very high standard. Gordon is a very professional, friendly and meticulous photographer and I would highly recommend his services. The studio is great and Gordon really takes his time to ensure the perfect photographs are achieved, trying out different angles, lighting and props. I have used Gordon’s photography services on a number of occasions, both for personal portfolio shots and also a number of shoots for my fashion business. We also had a fashion shoot at Rockliffe Hall in Darlington which produced some great photos. Gordon never rushes things and always offers tips and advice to the models in a very effective manner. He is very creative and can create different backgrounds and takes his time in carrying out any editing of the photos to ensure the best possible outcome. We hired the studio to take some pics of the kids back in October. We had our own camera and got some lovely photos. What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Apart from the skills use of lighting composition and camera skills, with people, it is to capture the look which shows who they are in the best light.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What is it they are looking to achieve, how we may go about it, and what is required in a practical sense. What to expect from each other and what will be delivered as a final product.
What do you love most about your job?
Working hard to always meet what the client wants, and to deliver the desired end result. Being creative in meeting this and in particular a real interest in presenting people in the best light.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Love of photography, some success as a photographer and experienced in business skills
