I wanted to write a lengthier review about this wonderful gym as just 5 stars wasn't enough. I started about two months ago, I had been trying exercise/weights at home but progress stopped after about a stone of weight loss. So I checked out my options in the area and came across this place, from even the first consultation I felt like someone was listening to me and my concerns regarding my back etc. I've never been pushed to do an exercise that caused me pain or discomfort and have even been shown extra things, after just two months the constant pain my mild scoliosis was causing me is totally gone, my strength is much better, and I'm starting to finally see a shift in my weight. Every medical issue has been considered and I've always been told if something is uncomfortable or you hate it that much we can change it. James and Paul are brilliant, there are not enough words I could use to recommend this gym and it's staff enough. More...

I've been training here now for a year and a half. After deciding earlier this year to push myself and compete in a bikini fitness competition my training really took off. Knowing they all have such passion and knowledge to get results I was completely at ease going through the process. Would definitely recommend Matt if you're looking to get results! I have been training at Phoenix and been following his Diet Plan for 8 weeks and my results speak for themselves. My hairdresser ( Kate ) was looking amazing, and she told me her secret : PPC ! As an older female, and no gym bunny, I gave it a try. Now in the third month of twice weekly sessions, Matt is guiding me through a program of exercises with weights, which he modifies to suit my individual needs. The groups are small, well supervised, and very friendly, but everyone is also very focused on achieving their goals. It is hard work but I am delighted to report that it is beginning to show real results. My personal goals are about increasing and maintaining muscle strength, tone, stamina, and flexibility. I've used plenty of Personal Trainers/PT Studios over the past decade.. Some good, some not so good. However, since spending two months working with Scott, I've learned what truly **outstanding** Personal Training looks like. It's been a real eye-opener in a very positive sense.

His focus on quality, technique and sustainable results is unique. Scott's knowledge is without-doubt expert, and he shares it willingly. You just know Scott really cares about your situation because he asks insightful questions and then actually listens and shapes the program accordingly.

Can't recommend highly enough! I joined the centre in May 2017 and in 2 months, James, Matt and the team helped me lose 7kg with twice-weekly group PT sessions. I had to move away from the area but definitely would have continued if I was still local. I feel so much better in myself, and can even run for a prolonged amount of time now! Can't recommend Phoenix Performance enough. All the trainers are super approachable and friendly and they really know their stuff. I work mostly with Paul and he really focuses on what my goals are when setting up my programme (no cookies cutter programmes here!) He explains why things are in each programme and what the progression I should be aiming for is which really helps with my motivation. As an overweight person that had never previously exercised I was nervous to join a gym, I didn't need to be. I've never once felt judged and my experience has only been positive. More...
