I cannot recommend Martyn enough. I’ve been training with him for only a few months, and I feel as though my strength has improved in leaps and bounds. I’m hitting new personal bests almost every week, as he pushes me past the point where I would usually hold myself back. Martyn has made me feel totally optimistic that I will reach my fitness and strength goals, and I’m now able to walk into a gym with a great knowledge of what I need to be doing. I joined David Lloyd in August and had my first induction day with Martyn. I was a bit intimidated walking into the gym at first, but he made me feel very welcome and I quickly felt more relaxed. Straightaway I could see his enthusiasm towards training and he was very knowledgeable. I ended up booking a load of sessions with Martyn through the month where he taught me so much and the results are showing already. Over the past couple of months I really have benefitted from my PT sessions with Martyn. Prior to this I wasn’t making the most of my workout time and therefore not seeing the results for all the effort.
Working with Martyn has been great and I’ve been able to create a weekly workout regime that is achievable and has significantly improved my fitness.

What can I say.
Martyn is flexible, knowledgable and incredible to be around.
He completely understands my personal circumstance and designs a plan to cater for it, whilst making it all enjoyable in the process!
My goal is to regain muscle mass with all over body workouts and despite only training with Martyn for a matter of months, I’ve noticed a tremendous change in my strength and physique. Apart from that, his motivation and drive forces you to push harder for your goals, improving your mental attitude toward fitness altogether.
The best part of working with Martyn for me, however, is just how fun he makes the sessions. Honestly, it’s like training with someone you’ve known for years!

I’ve had a good Personal Training 1-1 experience and Martyn was very supportive at a time I needed to build confidence and skills in the gym. Martyn is an energetic and enthusiastic trainer. He inspires confidence and care when working out a programme for you, and listens carefully when you talk about your needs, or your fears about things not working. 1st step is a consultation call so I know exactly what you are wanting to get out of fitness.

With that information I would put together a program to attain that goal. We would have our weekly or fortnightly check up sessions to make sure we are moving in the right direction.

The program would have all the movements and exercises needed. It was also have the the diet and nutrition side of things covered also. There is a big element of progress tracking throughout the whole experience. This is to make sure we are all making progress and that you can see the difference for yourself and keep that motivation.

If additional online personal training sessions are needed, then that is something we can address and go into more detail about.

we would work as close together as you like to strive towards your unique fitness goal.

There is no secret.

Just correct progressive training, adequate rest, fuelled by a good healthy food guide.
