What do you love most about your job?
I love working with kids in general but I think, engaging children and know they are having fun in both baby sitting and when it comes to tutoring I love it when they repeat a question they never knew before and are able to answer it.
What inspired you to start your own business?
When I became an university student and had time to offer my services to a wider selection of people it had to be working with children and tutor those in as many ages as possible.
Why should our clients choose you?
For babysitting, I look to make everything fun and efficient. Ensuring that home-work gets done and everyone gets to bed on time while keeping a lively, engaging environment for your children.
For Tutoring, I cater to them making sure they lean in a way that works for them. I have dyslexia and know that textbook learning doesn't work for everyone and even up to A-levels there are different ways to learn what you need. I go into depth and know how to make children and teenagers engage with there work. In short keep it interesting and get the subject covered.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
I can provide services online and remotely. I can use Zoom, Skype even face time. Which ever platform works before for you. It is difficult to do but I have tutored math over the phone before.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I will wear a mask if that's what you prefer and am double vaccinated.
Babysit
I can work most days of the week, up to three am (but do do all night jobs if pre-arranged. I strive to make everything fun and efficient, engaging your kids with fun activities (and tiering them out before bed-time). I can cook (and know how to cater to dietary requirements) and do some-light cleaning. As a tutor I can help with homework for any age. But most importantly I will always focus on your child's safety and am certified in CPR and have basic medical training.
Tutor
I tutor year 1+ including IGCSE and GCSE, I tutor in Religious studies, History, Classics, Math and advanced Math, Biology and Physics (including triple science). For A-Level I tutor Classical Civilisation and Medieval History. Both Online and in person.
I have three years of experience (and have A-Levels in Medieval history, Classical civilisation and philosophy, theology and ethics; I am currently studying politics and international affairs at The University of Lincoln).
I know how to engage children, tutoring doesn't have to be a chore it can be fun.
Studying for A-Level's and GCSEs, I look to cover the topic in depth and go over how to write essays in that topic, incorporating AO1, 2 and 3 and how to present workings for math and sciences in the correct manner.
For younger children I never teach directly from the textbook and depending on the child I ensure to cater to their interests and learning techniques; giving some funny little extra facts and use songs to keep them engaged and help them remember. A favourite when learning about the Victorians (in year six) we go over some funny real victorian names.
