I can’t recommend Petmates Chester highly enough. We have a rescued, stay at home cat who wouldn’t cope well with a cattery, so we were thrilled when we discovered their home visits. They are now our ‘go-to’ carers for Smokey, who seems to have fallen in love with Ellie! We always find Smokey clean, well fed, well groomed and happy on our return. I love that we get a photo or video to put our minds at rest too. We have needed care for Smokey at short notice and awkward dates and Petmates have never let us down. More...

Teddy is a very shy cat, yet Ellie has had no trouble making him feel comfortable and playful around her. Not only does she text to let me know that she has visited, I also get sent photos to put me at ease. Ellie is lovely and approachable and made the whole process very easy, especially as she started with a visit to meet Teddy and have a chat about what I wanted from her service. Ellie and the team at Petmates started taking our cocker spaniel Monty out for two walks per week in January of this year. I was a little nervous about finding the right person for the job and have to say I am overjoyed that we found Petmates! Monty loves his walks- and I like being able to see photos on the Facebook page. Monty appears on most of the pictures as a brown and white blur- which I think is good evidence of how much fun he’s having!

Ellie and Lisa look after my labrador puppy Maddie while I'm at work. They are both so friendly and professional. I get photos and updates on how Maddie is doing, she knows their names when I tell her whose coming to play. It was my first time using an in house pet sitter but couldn’t think of anyone better to look after my 2 cats than Ellie at Petmates! Ellie kept us in the loop daily on how they were doing (she could sense my initial nerves - especially as one of my cats wasn’t too well with a poorly leg) but she couldn’t do more and I would and will be using Ellie for all my pet sitting in the future! I found Petsmates services to be fantastic. Ellie looked after our cats whilst we were away. One of my cats went on an adventure for a few days(she goes out). Ellie communicated this to us, put posters up knocked on neighbours doors and worked her socks off on our behalf to get her back. Our cheeky cat came back but Ellie went above and beyond. Ellie came to stay to look after our pregnant dog Rosie at really short notice while we were away.
