Early in my career I worked for a number of different architectural practices which was a great way to gain experience. It had always been my goal to run my own business however and although it's a challenge it continues to give me great satisfaction.

I'm a listener and always keen to get to the bottom of what my clients are trying to achieve. Architecture is process in which there are many stakeholders who's views need to be considered. This is particularly apparent in the planning process which can sometimes be difficult to navigate. I bring considerable experience in this along with the many other technical aspects involved in building design.

I can provide an online service up to the planning application stage. Having said that, once commissioned I like to meet the client in person at least once before the process gets underway in detail and make a site visit to get a first hand feel for the situation, which is hard to fully convey with photographs alone except for the simplest of circumstances.

My policy is to maintain a 2m distance when meeting in person and wherever possible hold those meetings out of doors. For instances where that is not possible or where internal access is needed, to undertake surveys for example, I would request that windows are kept open to ensure good ventilation.
