What kind of accounting services do you provide?
Self Assessment tax returns, Annual company accounts & tax returns, payroll (outsourced), monthly/quarterly bookkeeping, being a nag.
Also system and processes reviews for growing companies.
Why is it so important for businesses to hire a great accountant?
An accountant that understands you and your business can become a great asset and adviser. A proactive accountant is much more use than somebody that just does your tax return. With the use of online accounting systems that can link to your CRM and other systems, they can help drive you to where you want to go.
What do you love most about your job?
Seeing a business grow and the owner understanding with business numbers - even through they may not know how to enter them in to the accounts. That is not the business owners job - it's mine and my teams.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Put simply - after the recession hit, my work as a process & systems export dried up, so need to go back to my grass roots of being an accountant. It was either that or sell the house. !
