Having 15 acres of private enclosed land. I offer individual walks or small group dogs. I have 22 years experience in the canine world. I have worked in the dog police section and for an animal charity in Cumbria.

I have never left any of my dogs in Kennels and vowed I never would as I would be worried they wouldn't be cared for properly or God forbid they would think I wasn't coming back for them. However, last week I lost my 13 week old puppy (found 6hrs later), she took off when she was spooked by a Malamute. It was my fault, I didn't have her on a lead. Jen from Flatt Farm stopped her car after seeing how distressed I was and then spent the whole day with me searching for her. I do not know what I would have done without her that day. I could barely hold myself together and I couldn't function properly at all. She held me together and I never need that but I did that day and if I ever need to leave my dogs in kennels then this is 100% where I will be leaving them because of Jen. If anyone who works there is half as compassionate as this woman is then I would trust them with my dogs. My only problem would be that my dogs might resent having to come home. Now this is very honest opinion . This kennel and team working there i dont know all by name but remember Chelsea ,Tina and Jenny and others realy care and give us huge comfort when we been avay again. Ours boy com back very happy and in realy good condition . Tell you more . The girls give him nice bath with shampoo. For someone who care i realy highly recomended this busines. Lovely friendly staff. Highly recommended!! I left my sonny with them for a week. I was really nervous as I know he's from a rescue and didn't think he'd like being in a kennel cos he might have thought we were leaving him permanently. I was reassured and also could ring any time to check and I was told he was doing fab. He loved the open space for running and they took wonderful care of him. Would highly recommend!! More...

What an amazing experience, from the moment we arrived we were treated by professional knowledgeable staff who put me and Ray on confidence leaving our boy Zak for over two weeks and half . Have used these kennels for a few years now, with our late English Springer Spaniel Chester and for the last 8 years Buster. Dogs are well walked and looked after, buster always comes back healthy and happy. Would highly recommend. More...

Can't thank you enough for having pixie today, down here on holiday and was only a few days notice but jen managed to find the time to offer daycare, price was amazing and pixie seems exhausted after her day away, I hope she was a pleasure to have, I will definitely use you when I'm next down hopefully won't be that long till I am lol, excellent service and I hope the good reviews continue to help you thrive.

Buddy Baird has been stopping at Flatt farm kennels for more than 5 years when we’ve been away. He gets very excited as we arrive and definitely loves all the staff.
He always loses a bit of weight but he’s a nervous eater so this isn’t a bad thing. The dogs get at least 3/4 walks per day in a very large field which he enjoys. All the staff are really good and his picture has even been used on their business cards which is brilliant and it’s his profile on this pages photo �
He’s always really excited when we get back and they even picked him up from home when the snow was bad which was so helpful.
We definitely recommend Flatt farm kennels ���

We were really nervous about putting Bryn in kennels as he had never been in before, but having spoken with Jen in the past we knew how seriously they take looking after your pouch at Flatt Farm. Twice our beagle has visited these kennels and twice we have been impressed with the quality of care they provide.The second time I took him, he was so desperate to get through the door into where the other dogs where - I was left dumbfounded and rejected by the beag! ! Must be an amazing place. Dog clearly enjoyed it. I didn't enjoy leaving him, but take so much satisfaction i knowing he was excited to be there.My husband arrived early to collect our dog and saw him playing through the fence, having an absolute whale of a time. The dog was undecided whether to run towards him or continue playing - it was that good there!Would recommend to everyone, but please don't all go there st once, as our dog might not get to go on his holibobs if it's full! Walks start from,
45 minutes = £12
60 minutes = £15
longer walks are available.
I am fully insured. Dog walkers currently don't need to be licensed. I have level 3 in Animal Management.
