Pauline made an excellent job of restoring my mother's childhood doll (from c.1934), which for years had been in pieces in a box in the attic, with the neck completely smashed. I was impressed both by her knowledge of the doll's construction and by the way she restored it without losing its character. Pauline also sensitively conserved the doll's original clothes, made by my grandmother and another relative, and found some appropriate extra clothing. My mother's delighted response, 'That's my doll!', says it all. More...

Pauline has done a wonderful job of restoring my 1930s boudoir doll. She provides an excellent level of customer service, is highly skilled and knowledgeable and gave me excellent advice. I thought the cost of the work done was very reasonable and well worth every penny. My doll doesn't look "restored", all the work was done with great sensitivity and understanding of the age and aesthetic of the doll. Thankyou very much! More...

Pauline has made me sooo happy by mending my teddy bear. I couldn't see how it could be done. She has put his head back on, and mended a tear in his leg. I can't see any signs of the repair work at all. His head turns again as it used to and I can cuddle him again at last. Hooray! Thank you very much. More...

Pauline, thank you SO much for fixing Suzie (1927 American Petite doll). I am absolutely stunned by what you managed to achieve. She was in such a bad way - I am sorry to say she fell down the stairs "with force" when I was about 8 and I instantly felt terrible about what I did to her, and you have fixed her!!! She even has fingers and toes now too! She has just made the trip with me to Australia where I now live, and my children have been banned from playing with her, although I did find her in bed with my 5yr old the other night!!! I will message you the photo! Thank you again, Charmian Quinlan More...

Pauline is amazing, I took one of my dolls to her and was amazed by her work. My doll looks fabulous, Pauline is a joy to talk to her knowledge about dolls and teddy bears is next to none. Very interesting lady I wouldn't take my dolls or bears to anyone else and I live in Cornwall. X More...

I think Pauline is reliable. My doll was given to me and at some point she will be given to someone else, probably a niece. Pauline restrung her, mended a broken thigh and several fingers including finger nails. She had a ball joint specially made and sourced the special pieces to restore the old, fashion doll to much of her former glory. Pauline was able to tell to tell me about the materials used and the doll's maker. She knows about doll markets but mine is firmly an heirloom. Thank you, Pauline. You managed to match the colour of the paint well, too. More...

Pauline has repaired two large American baby dolls from 1950. She repaired two arms of my girl doll...and kindly ordered matching wig "hair" for her balding wig. She has sewn the hair onto the wig and has created a lovely new hair style for her. My boy doll's eyes were not "right" and although they are so much better, they are still not 100 %. While I was dressing him, one moved about a bit.....I will try and keep him as still as I can!

So thank you Pauline for making me so happy by mending these favourite dolls from my childhood. They are over 70 years old.

Love from, Charlotte
