Paul came to my 60th birthday celebration at the "Old Deanery" in Ripon. It was afternoon tea in the garden room and gardens on a superb sunny Sunday afternoon in August. He worked with groups and around tables bringing fun, bewilderment and wonder. Everyone enjoyed his work and are still talking about tricks he did. I would recommend Paul for any function where guests say "How did he do that!"

People are still talking about how amazed they were by Paul's performance at our wedding; he is slick, sharp witted and truly baffled us all of how he did the tricks. He also left us a couple of moments of the day and with closer inspection, we still can't figure how he does it - Just brilliant More...

Magician

We were lucky enough to secure Paul for a 30th birthday party at very short notice. Paul blended in well with our crowd and undertook table card tricks which worked very well and people thought he was really good. Thank you

Q&As

I first piqued my interest in magic at an early age watching the 'Paul Daniels Magic Show' in the early 1980s and my schooldays were a regular list of plays, performances and amateur dramatics.

In later years I have combined my love of performing with my love of history and been a regular appearance at many of the country's living history festivals and 1940s weekends.

Having spent the bulk of my time performing for family and friends I was very grateful to the Leeds Steampunk Market who gave me my first performances and from there I have expanded into the wedding industry while still keeping my roots in historical events.

Depends on the event, which I know is probably a more woolly answer than you were hoping for but...

A typical wedding would involve me starting at the drinks reception or basically that part of the wedding day when the photographer takes over and starts directing everyone to get through the photo shoot as quickly as possible. Everybody breaks off into small groups and dare not go anywhere else in case they are needed and so there's a degree of standing around. I'd circulate around the guests doing short routines, usually in the hands card magic, helping people pass the time. This continues, although with different magic, during the gaps between courses in the wedding breakfast and up to the speeches.

I always keep a few things up my sleeve for the happy couple too.
