Paul is a friendly guy, supportive and responsive. Even with a short notice period, Paul came in at MPM to take a varied range of portraits, team photos and service photos to a high quality.

Paul was enthusiastic, friendly and receptive to ideas for shots for a professional website. He had a relaxed manner, took a lot of personal interest in the project and charged a very reasonable fee for the hours given. He took lots of photos and with some post editing they turned out very well and were just what I was after. More...

Paul took some photographs for our podcast studio. The assignment was for him to capture the essence of the space, he went above and beyond. The images that were taken are simply stunning. Paul was quick with his responses from the outset. He was communicative throughout the process and took his time in order to understand the brief. This resulted in stunning images that have helped us to market our podmatic brand. I highly recommend Paul’s services. More...
What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
To capture effectively, and convey, the most winning and appealing image of a given subject. Of people: to deliver the subject's favoured perception of how they see themselves, or perhaps convey the subject's preferred image - whether that subject is an adult, a child, a family, or friends. Or perhaps pictures of a beloved item, a building, or a place - or a product for sale - like food, drink, or something specialised.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What do you want the pictures, the video, or the piece of writing, to achieve? A warm, appealing impression? A reminder of great times, or occasion? Or in the case of a commercial shoot, images that effectively sell the item or products?
What do you love most about your job?
Liaising with people to achieve, or hopefully exceed, the pictures in their mind - and to deliver what they want, or hope for, from those pictures.
What inspired you to start your own business?
A lifelong love, and experience, of photography, and writing - resumed recently following a lengthy career in TV as an award-winning writer/producer/director, specialising in on-air programme and film promotion.
Why should our clients choose you?
Because I am competent, friendly, and always aim to deliver what the client wants, while bringing my own experience, inspiration and ideas to any task, and, hopefully, give a little more!
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
Photography and video work normally demands location shooting, unless the job can truly be assigned and shot remotely - for example, for a remote client who wants clearly-described pictures or video far from his or her base. Subsequent to a shoot, all post-production, and delivery, can be handled remotely. Scripting, Copywriting or Voiceover assignments can, of course, be handled entirely remotely.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I have received all available Covid jabs, and will wear a mask, and apply appropriate care and precautions on location if requested.
