Patios by Paul Ltd is a small family company based in Ilkeston, Derbyshire.
We carry out work in the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire area.
We primarily lay patios of all sizes and carry out other jobs in the garden to complement the patio such as wooden sleeper features, building retaining walls, painting decking and simple fencing work.

What do you love most about your job?
After years of working indoors, defintley working outdoors is for me. Seeing the delight of the customer’s face when their patio work is completed is the reason I enjoy this business.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I built my own kitchen and then built several patio areas. I have a lot of tools and decided to have a change of career when hitting a milestone birthday and give up retail management for doing a job I really enjoy.

We’re friendly, professional, hardworking and honest.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
When visiting customers to quote on work, I ensure I use a mask and sanitise hands. I am usually outside in the garden whilst talking and measuring.
