I've been going to Outshine for 4 years, but today was my first haircut post-lockdown and it was as pleasant an experience as usual! Shelly and the team greeted me with smiles from behind their safety visors and were just as friendly and chatty as usual. Shelly has worked hard to implement various safety measures and I felt comfortable and at ease the whole time. On top of that my (curly, difficult to manage) hair was cut exactly how I wanted. My 14 year old son detests having his hair cut. He gets extremely anxious about the whole process and will usually tell you that ‘having my hair cut symbolises the worst day of my life’! Well he just left Outshine with a fab haircut and more importantly a huge smile on his face! This is the first time he has had his hair cut without the experience ending in tears. I was so impressed with Alice, she listened to him and explained absolutely everything. She is clearly at ease with people on the autistic spectrum/with anxiety and communicates beautifully. You feel very welcome and comfortable when you arrive. I was given a free consultation to make sure what I wanted was understood and got great advice from Katie. I was able to book an appointment to follow really easily and quickly. Katie was absolutely fantastic, she knew exactly what I wanted and had tonnes of knowledge when it came to hair colouring.
