What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
Playing the right music at the right volume and giving the client a great visual show.
How would you describe your ‘style’?
We are old school. Friendly and unique in the way we present ourselves. We usually do a walkabout in the early part of the evening to introduce ourselves and find out what sort of music guests would like us to play.
What do you love most about your job?
Seeing people have a great time because of my efforts.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I first heard the word "Discotheque" in 1970 and wondered what it was. After a bit of research, I eventually found out and it sounded like a lot of fun. After some planning, I designed and built my first Disco unit and lighting controllers because you couldn't buy any, it simply didn't exist, unlike today. Since it had already cost me a few bob, I started to do parties. Now, with over 7000 shows to our name we are still going strong and enjoying it as much as ever.

Because here at OnStage we have the experience and know what we are doing. We have great music, great sounds and amazing lighting. If you live within Essex, Hertfordshire or surrounding areas we can provide you with great entertainment. We also give a level of service that you will not get from the average DJ.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We wear yellow Hazmat suites! - just kidding. There is not really very much we can do in our trade.
PA Hire
We have two sound systems that we use. One as the main PA and the other that we used as a background or auxiliary system.
Laser Hire
3 watt RGB lasers that can be added to a show for that extra wow factor.
Lighting System
Depending on venue size and clients budget, we use a combination of high power LED moving heads, multi-beam sweepers, mirror ball simulators, spot lights, projectors and beam lights, all controlled by a state-of-the-art lighting desk.
