I am 71 years of age and never had private dental treatment before. My teeth had deteriorated and worn down over the years of use and teeth were missing or broken. The NHS were not interested. I made a list of the best reviews for dentists and Old Town Dental Practice appeared to have the best patient satisfaction. Although not trusting reviews, it was a sound starting point. My intention was to visit a number of private dentists and then choose. I made an appointment and was given a free, no obligation check up and assessment by Marta. She was amazing and I knew instantly that I would be wasting my time even looking anywhere else. She obviously loves her work, is extremely talented and genuinely cares about her patients. Over the months she has carried out extensive work on my teeth including, root canal treatment. 8 new crowns and further ongoing treatment including dental implants. She has totally improved my dental appearance and given me the smile of a younger man. Her prices are very competative and you get good value for the money spent.
All members of the team are friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this Dental Practice to all. More...

I have used the Old Town Dental Service for many years and was quite surprised when Clive left but found Marta to be very professional and very interested in making sure I had the best dental health. I have never found a dentist in whom to have confidence until being treated by Dr Thomas at Old Town Dental Practice he is exemplary in his professionalism and efficiency. I have had both my first crown fitted by him and root canal treatment, both experiences have been excellent; he has explained the procedure well, gave me good advice and most importantly gave me such confidence that it calmed my nerves. I’ve been seeing Carl at this practice for a while as I needed a lot of work done having not been to the dentist for over 30 years due to bad experience in childhood and a subsequent phobia. Am a nervous patient put off by a horrible experience with a root canal a few years ago at a different dentist I might add. Have had to have two lengthy visits in the chair over the last couple of weeks due to a broken tooth. Karl and his lovely staff have been wonderful throughout. Went to the dentist for the first time in many years here today, after developing a.... slight fear after a previous dentist was a tad ruff in another place I used to go to. I'm a very nervous dental patient and had a broken tooth that needed extracting today. They fit me in almost first thing and explained everything that needed to be done before they did it. I don't ever go anywhere else! I've always been absolutely petrified of dentists, and had to be sedated to go as a child and young adult. Clive completely and utterly puts me at ease, and I can honestly say I've never ever been in pain having my teeth done there: from simple fillings to full on root canals. Lianne, the practice manager, is so friendly and professional. Despite the fact that I could get my children in to an NHS dentist elsewhere, I never would as I trust Clive with their teeth too, and I wouldn't risk the substandard care ive heard about another dentists.
