We provide cloud accounting services. This means we use cutting edge tools that are the next generation of accounting support tools. By building our business around Xero and key business systems that interface with Xero, we can provide you with a service that is very cost effective and heavy on value and proactive advice. 2. Forecasting and planning - using your cloud accounting system we prepare flexible business plans and present them in clear reporting dashboards available online
3. Strategic advice - we work as a business partner - we provide proactive advice on how your business can grow revenue, streamline costs and raise additional capital to fund growth

Why is it so important for businesses to hire a great accountant?

We think that stage of accountancy is over. Many businesses can now use systems like Xero to do that job. We believe our role is to explain the figures to the business in a clear, non-jargon way, so that the business can look forward, plan properly, and grow the business without fear of the unknown.
Our key USP is that we have started and ran businesses too. Nuvem9 combines the Chartered Accountancy skills, with hands on business experience and provides businesses with a friendly, approachable business advisory service.
What do you love most about your job?
I love working with growing businesses and using my experience of running a business to pass on assistance to others. I genuinely care for my client's businesses and take pride when they reach milestones. I also support and offer guidance through difficult times. Because I run my business remotely, using modern cloud tools, I can actually spend a lot of time with clients via video calls and online screen sharing. It is very rewarding to see a business grow under my support and this drives me forward every day.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I ran my own business in the technology sector previously and saw many difficulties in terms of the support and advice that was available and the systems that were utilised in preparing finances. I saw an opportunity to consolidate the next generation of accounting tools (Xero etc.) and combine with my own experiences to set up an advisory service for early stage and growing businesses.
