I had seen some of the work done by Lewis online and then a friend of mine had an amazing piece done. I had a tattoo that I didn’t like me was desperate to have covered. I wanted a piece that was original and artistic. I messaged and Jo came back to me really quickly. I wasn’t sure what I would be able to get away with as the tattoo I wanted covering was large and very black! Jo was brilliant, she answered all my questions and made lots of suggestions and sent me photos of the type of tattoo that would best suit. She was so patient and obviously really knowledgable. Eventually we agreed the concept and I made an appointment to go to the shop and meet them both. The shop is very modern, clean and comfortable.... and the coffee is really good too! We chatted about what I wanted and Lewis showed my pictures, colours and styles until he really understood what I wanted. The next time I went to the studio it was to see the design that Lewis had done. I was made up. He clearly understood me and what I wanted. Everything was right!! One thing is really clear, there is no rush.. both Jo and Lewis made sure I was 100% happy at each stage to make sure that the piece I was getting was right for me. This is so importantMy tattoo was done over 2 sittings. The whole experience is relaxed and the studio is really comfortable. You can choose films to watch or music to listen too. I was that chilled out getting my tattoo I even managed to have a little sleep. Both Jo and Lewis are lovey guys who make you feel so welcome and the whole experience is just so professional. My tattoo is fantastic. It is exactly the piece I have always wanted. The whole experience was brilliant. What an amazing place ! Lovely friendly feel to the place , very well decorated with art ! Very relaxing , great artists at work Taylor designing my tattoo which I am over the moon with ! No loud heavy rock music playing (not that I don’t like some rock) no boards of pick your own tattoos more like a nice trip out ! Sophie who is Lewis’s apprentice was very professional and took her time , which made my whole experience fabulous can’t say it didn’t hurt but it’s actually the least painless one iv had done ! After visiting plenty of Tattoo Shops around the Wirral to find someone suitable to combine what i already had with something new, i was left deflated and unconvinced as they didnt seem to understand what i wanted and would attempt to show me designs from books that could just go around my original tattoo. Then i stumbled across Nomad Ink ( Lewis ). Like all the other shops i spat out a chain of ideas and requests. At the time Lewis physically started jotting them all down, reviewed the list and straight away said i can do that, but it will have to be free hand drawn onto the skin. Booked! Instantly. From that moment i was sold. From the 1st session to the 3rd i learned a valuable lesson i hadnt with my other 7 tattoo's. Lewis is an artist. The art, the physical drawing that is going onto your skin comes from him. Hes a perfectionist that goes out of his way to prepare and ensure what you ask for is right. Now understandably not all designs are free hand drawn onto the skin, it was just the particular design i asked for, but by god Lewis coped with my constant movement and wanting to look and he got it spot on. Before a single scratch i was made to look and made to make sure i was happy more than twice over. The 3 sessions, 20hours in all was 2nd to non! Sweets and films to keep me going, when the film marathon was over the chat was just as good, Lewis was very humble and welcoming as was Sophie and Jo. Lewis did a dog portrait of a breed he'd never seen or heard of, on my calf for me. Remarkably, Tsula was born here in England on the same day I was in Canada watching my Dad draw his last breath, so she's extra special to me. This guy is the best tattooist I have ever met! Honestly wouldn't recommend any one else. I've been going to lewie for a fair while now and the tattoos I have got from him are amazing! He also currently has an apprentice with him, her name is Sophie and she is also really good, she has a top mentor to teach her. This was the best experience I’ve had I have a lot of tattoos with Pacific designs and Lewis and Joe are fantastic and help me design and unusual tattoo . Not only where this couple welcoming and very accommodating, they went well out of there way to make the day the best it could be under the Circumstances ( 8 hours under the needle ) drinks movies and dinner !! The best!I went to see Lewis at Nomad Ink not even being sure what I wanted, I had an idea but wasn’t one hundred percent sure. Lewis designed a bespoke tattoo, incorporated what I wanted, gave me space and ideas to add more if I wanted to, which I did! I now have (in my biased opinion) the best sleeve I’ve ever seen.
