They were very accommodating when I had to change our booking twice, place is done up lovely but it was so cold in there, we were dithering the whole 2 hours or so we were there. Very little vegetarian choice on the evening menu, 2 said "vegetarian option available" (& one of these was a salad), then there were 2 actual vegetarian options (one of these was also a salad). The portion seemed a little on the small side, could have done with a sides menu alongside the main meal choices as we were still hungry after we'd eaten! We went for food here on Saturday evening to celebrate my birthday. We arrived a bit early and there was no problem with us having drinks while we waited for service to start. 6pm came and a lady brought us the menu and said she would be back shortly to take our order (we didn't see her for the rest of the evening) half an hour went by, other tables were having food taken to their tables so I ended up ordering at the bar. We had a lovely time here. We booked a table for us and our children before going to The Gatehouse to see a show to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Booking a table over text/Facebook was easy. The staff were so lovely! I ordered some champagne for when we arrived and when we got there the table was lovely with some beautiful flowers. Yesterday I booked out the bank house diner for my birthday party! It was fantastic, the atmosphere was great, the buffet was lovely and had a great selection of sandwiches 😊 music was lovely and not to loud so you can comfortably talk. All in all a great evening. I have been here twice since the diner reopened. The first time was with my niece who declared her food was ‘the best burger she had ever eaten’. The second time was with my sister-in-law where we ate and drank for hours. The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was great, despite sitting outside.
