Very disappointed with our visit. We bought kheer, ladoo and namak para. Thankfully the kheer was from the fridge with a clearly marked use by date which was ok. But unfortunately the ladoo and namak para were very stale and inedible. There are other Indian sweet shops in Tooting that are very busy like Ambala and Pooja so maybe Nirala (every time we’ve walked past) isn’t that busy thus sweets don’t sell as much. We found the desperation of staff members to sell us more than what we wanted understandable now….they wanted sales. Won’t ever go back. I can’t see them on Tooting high road for much longer! More...

We bought dahi baray, samosas, plain/ tea cake, pakoray from Nirala, tooting, No wonder they have gone down the drain in Pakistan. Dahi/yogurt in those dahi bara when digged-in-to with a spoon, slipped from it like a slime, tamarind sauce appeared to have a thickening agent like gelatin without having taste of tamarind in there and when i still pushed my self to taste it, the pakora/bara in it was so dry and granulated as if it was made days ago. We threw it. Then opened the cake, it was also so grainy like dried semolina that i started to get scattered like sand... will never waste my money neither would recommend this place to anyone More...
