What kind of accounting services do you provide?
I can do as much or as little as a client wants - I describe myself as a finance manager as it covers most areas I believe. Areas I have recently covered for clients: monthly bookkeeping, credit control, invoicing, purchase ledger, month end accounts, payroll, VAT, cashflow forecasting, budgeting, company secretarial and more - I basically get the accounts to the point at which an accountancy firm would audit/prepare the statutory year end accounts.
Why is it so important for businesses to hire a great accountant?
Because the tidier your accounts are, the greater your business will be - a good accountant will ensure you know how much cash you have now and in the future, the health of your organisation through your balance sheet and the performance of your business through analysis and the P&L.
What do you love most about your job?
I love the flexibility and the variety - the fact that I can learn about so many different businesses and meet so many people. I especially love using my skills to help people and get organisations.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Predominantly a desire to work flexibly, around family life. I also wanted to work with a variety of clients.
Why should our clients choose you?
Because I am honest, reliable, hard working and have a great attention to detail. I will go above and beyond to look after my clients and will always try and build great relationships with my clients.
