Q&As

I believe that meeting the client and seeing the space is helpful for both parties. However, on some occasions it may not be necessary and images or video along with a phone call can suffice.
I like to take a detailed brief and get a good feel for what the client needs and wants for their space, if it's a business I like to get a good understanding of how it works, how employees work within it and any ideas they may already have. If its a residential space I like to get to know the client and get a feel for their style, how they live and again, any ideas they may already have.
I like to get an understanding of how much or how little the client would like from me. I discuss with them what I can offer to enable me to give them the right design package.
Within my service I offer style boards, sample boards, space planning (cad drawings) product specifications (including furniture and finishes) 3D digital visuals and video walkthroughs. I am happy for the client to take away my designs and source the work/contractors themselves, however, if they require my assistance I can project manage the work on their behalf.

I never try to impose my own style on a client's space. I will always try to get the best understanding of their preference/style/interests and then I will make suggestions using my expert knowledge of the industry and interior trends.

I just love to get creative!
I enjoy designing a space to a client's brief and then presenting it to them - I love working with them and my favourite part is seeing the space come to life. It's the icing on the cake to see how happy the client is with the finished product.

I started off in my very early twenties wanting to become a Property Developer. I bought my first house at the age of 23 and completely renovated it, learning the do's and don'ts along the way. I survived the property crash in 2008 but decided the market wasn't stable enough so deferred my interest to interior design. I actually started a Diploma course just as a hobby - this quickly took me onto studying a full degree in Interior Design of which I graduated with a First Class Honours.
I gradually changed my career from being a Business Development Manager & Support Worker for a local youth charity to being self-employed as an Interior Designer. My path took me into kitchen design for a couple of well known companies and then onto working for a commercial fit-out company. Today I own my own Interior Design business and love working for myself.

The client is always at the heart of what I do.

I offer a design package to suit each individual, being as much or as little as required and I will never impose my own design style onto my client.
