My wife and I picked Natural Expressions Photography as we wanted something that would have a unique character in an outdoor setting for a generational family photo, and Patrick has not disappointed us. We decided on a photoshoot in Hartsholme Park from a selection of venues, including Lincoln Cultural Quarter and Whisby Nature Reserve amongst others. Patrick spent a whole morning with us, taking so many photos each with a different perspective. Patrick's years of experience, his easy going manner and gentle banter made him a hit with the kids who ranged from 16 to 35! He assisted in selecting the optimum sized print for the size of wall where it was to hang, and gave impartial advice on the most suitable frame and border. The finished print is original in its content, and Patrick's use of colour and focus means we have something which is the perfect centrepiece and and hangs in pride of place on the sitting room wall. Patrick photographed our wedding at Doddington Hall in August 2022. He also photographed a pre-shoot 3 weeks prior to the wedding so that we could get photos done with the our dogs, who weren't able to attend the wedding. Right from the first time we phoned Patrick we knew he was the type of person we wanted to be our photographer. He was calm, relaxed, happy to go with our flow, he never tried to upsell to more a expensive package, he was a genuinely nice guy. He sent us photos of other weddings he had done at our venue to provide an idea of what we could expect and they were beautiful photos. At our pre-shoot he was great with our 2 boys and so patient with the 2 dogs who would only look at me for quite a while. We received our pre-shoot photos 2 days before the wedding and they are amazing. The photos he took that day with the 4 of us and the 2 dogs will hang in my house for years!! On the actual wedding day, he was there for the hair and makeup at 7am, and he stayed right through until about 9pm. He captured every detail, every moment, so many interactions between guests but so much of this was done unnoticed by guests. Our photos have such a natural feel which is exactly what we wanted. All the guests were very complimentary of Patrick, his photos, and how he just snapped away all day. The photos we got from Patrick were better than we could ever have wished for or expected. What can we say other than just WOW! Our photographs are absolutely stunning and capture every moment of our day beautifully. Patrick blended in with our guests, who all commented on how friendly and professional he is, whilst taking some amazing 'natural' photos - just the style we'd asked for! Right from our first phone call with Patrick, he was so personable, reassuring us that he would capture the 'natural' moments of our wedding day - and he certainly did! Patrick was the photographer at a friend's wedding a few years ago and I was immediately taken with his style when I saw their album. I looked at more of his work on his website and followed him on FB and knew I wanted to organise a session with him to take some photos of my nieces because his portraits are full of character and beautifully composed.We got the opportunity, earlier this year, to have a family shoot, my brother, sister, nieces and I. We had a really fun couple of hours at Hartesholme Park with Patrick and he took some amazing pictures. He was great at putting the girls at their ease so that he was able to capture natural shots of them, with no self consciousness. He knew how to get the best out of his models (!) and the wonderful setting, combining the two to great effect.We had wanted to get at least one or two photos that we could give our mum for Mother's Day and we were totally spoilt for choice. I think that he has a fantastic way about him - when he needs to be invisible he is, and when he can't be invisible he is very good at working with you, pointing you in the right direction and being incredibly patient when you forget to do what he says! At our wedding we can hardly remember him being there, and the resulting pictures and album were fantastic. He has a real eye for what is need and doesn't force photographs (but he'll do whatever you want in terms of staged pictures). He clearly loves his job and when he spots an opportunity he'll work with it to try and bring out the best possible photographs for you and for him.I'm sure we'll use him again in the future as our daughter grows up and I would happily recommend him.
