Had a very positive experience with Natural Balance Dog training on Tuesday. I spoke to Sarah last week about the issues we were experiencing with our springer spaniel being her barking at anything or anyone that approaches our house and her pulling at the lead making walking her very difficult. It’s only been two days and we’ve already seen such a positive improvement in her walking. We have been consistent and taken her on small walks around where we live regularly and the pulling is very minimal now, hasnt completely stopped but we understand this will take time. 5 stars isn't enough for the advice and support that Sarah has given us. We had our first session 5 months ago and have seen drastic improvements in our St Bernards behaviour. When we first reached out to Sarah, Bentley was reactive on walks to both people and dogs and was nervous in the house with new people. Now we can go on pack walks with limited reactivity and have had people come to the house with no issues at all, including young children. The staff at the pet experience were super lovely, they asked if I needed help and took me straight to what I asked for and talked me through the range available with all the pros and cons of. Per toeval kwamen we tijdens onze vakantie bij The Pet Experience uit, en dit toeval gun ik iedereen! Onze hond is altijd een lastige eter geweest en tijdens ons bezoek aan de winkel nam Cormac uitgebreid de tijd om met ons te praten en ons te adviseren. Zonder ons producten aan te praten, gewoon omdat hij zo ontzettend kundig en aardig is. Bij thuiskomst het advies opgevolgd en nu is onze hond een voorbeeldige eter! Honestly i have no-t had a good experience with this company. After ringing initially and explaining that my problems with my 2 year old rescue dog Koda was dog aggression on walks after being attacked in a park and “selective” recall issues – sometimes she’s great others not so much! I chose a very expensive £500 package as pack walks was the thing that would be most beneficial to us as dog aggression was a big thing for us and that a trainer that could provide this was in a reasonable distance to my house. First appointment made the training never turned up….great start! But everybody makes mistakes – after ringing and re arranging the trainer attended my property to meet Koda. Off the back of that meeting, I was supposed to get a behaviour report. That never materialised – never has. Second meeting was in a park – had a bit of a walk showed me where I was going wrong where to approve….very bog standard stuff really …then was expecting pack walks to be set up and a behaviour report. Behaviour report number two you guessed it – never materialised. After hearing radio silence for two weeks I decided to check in and was advised from the trainer she no longer works at the company and I needed to call the office to talk about pack walks. I called the office and explained I really wasn’t happy that I had paid £500 for a very expensive walk so far and that I needed something fixed around pack walks and behaviour reports or a refund. It was then said that I would have three one to one sessions with the trainer instead of pack walks and that the original trainer would carry this on as a favour, as all the other set up pack walks were an hour plus away from me. Its now been about 5 weeks since our very expensive walk around black park and I still have not been able to set any further training up and no behaviour reports. I have just been researching and trying different training techniques myself at this point – and honestly its better then the support I have received. More...

What do you love most about your job?
I love many things about my work but I think mostly I love helping dogs to become more balanced and therefore enjoy a happier life with happier owners.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I wanted to work with animals and felt there was a lack of good trainers around, with many people still running very old-fashioned classes and using outdated methods. I wanted to be able to make a difference to the lives of both people and their pets whilst enjoying a unique quality of life that is only possible when you are your own boss.
Why should our clients choose you?
We have collectively over 50 years experience working with dogs and don't just have one set method. We adapt our techniques around the individual dog and also, to an extent, around the customers. That way everyone learns better and changes happen much quicker.

NEW PUPPY TRAINING PACKAGE
£250 (+ 10% for weekend visits)
Our puppy specialist will come to your home and cover everything you need to know to give you and your puppy the very best start in your new life together. There is no time limit to your session but typically we would expect to be with you for 2-3 hours. You will receive your Puppy Behaviour Manual, treats and treat pouch, plus 2 Online Training Courses. Your session will deal with all aspects of puppy training from sleeping through the night to learning good manners, basic obedience training and skills for walking on and off lead. You also receive free advice over the phone, by email or video call for the life of your dog.
ELITE DOG TRAINING & BEHAVIOUR PACKAGE
£395 (+ 10% for weekend visits)
This package will teach you how to be a confident Pack Leader to your dog and how to resolve any and all issues your dog may be struggling with. Having a dog with behavioural problems can be very stressful for you as well as for the dog so our qualified and experienced behaviour specialists are here to help in every way. We provide a bespoke, one-to-one service at your location to teach you everything you need to know in order to remove unwanted behaviours and move forward into a happy, balanced life for both you and your dog. There is no time limit to your session but typically we would expect to be with you for around 3 hours, and we will always go for a good walk during the session to address any outdoor issues, both on and off the lead. You will receive your Pack Leader Manual immediately and your specific Behaviour Modification Plan will be sent by email within 48 hours of the visit. This will always be specific to your individual situation and issues. You will also receive all 4 of our Online Training Courses, the best lead for your dog, treats & treat pouch, plus free advice over the phone, by email or Video Call for the life of your dog.
PACK WALKS
Pack Walks are available for all our customers to help with socialisation and practising real-world training with at least 2 of our behaviour specialists on hand to answer questions and help out. £15 per dog for a one and a half hour structured walk.
ESSENTIAL DOG BEHAVIOUR PACKAGE
£320 (+10% for evening / weekend visits)
A bespoke package to deal with any training & behaviour issues with your dog that occur within the house - such as separation anxiety, barking at visitors, excessive greeting, hyperactivity, obsessive behaviours (tail-chasing, licking, barking at Hoover etc.) or anything else you are struggling with. Lead pulling will also be addressed in this service but any off-lead issues or aggression issues will require our Elite Package. You will receive an unlimited time session (average 2 hours) your Pack Leader Manual, free lead, pouch and treats and your personal modification plan, plus free advice for the life of your dog and access to all 4 of our online training courses.
