Teaching women how to loose unwanted weight & keep it off through habit change and nutrition education

Most of us know that to loose weight we need to eat less and move more and in the short term we’ve probably all had success doing just that!

The problem, that is; the weight coming back, often more fiercely than before, arises for two reasons, one thing we do and one we don’t.

The thing we do; reliance on motivation

The problem with this is, motivation is inconsistent, so we get… you guessed it inconsistent results and loosing and keeping weight off is all about consistency!

The thing we don’t do; habit change

Our results in life are determined by the things we repeatedly do, almost without thought, day in, day out, in other words our habits. Now habits are extremely powerful tools but in the wrong hands they can go against us.

If you are not getting the results in life you want it’s very likely your habits are playing out some untrue, negative beliefs you have about yourself. “I’m fat, I’m not a healthy person, I don’t like exercise, I don’t like healthy food, I’m not good enough…” the list goes on. It’s very likely at some point in your life an experience or person implanted these negative beliefs in your mind.

To change your results we have to form new positive, helpful beliefs, which in turn gives you the foundation for lasting habit change, which will produce new positive results!

This is where a coach comes in. Alongside a nutrition and movement toolbox to equip you with the practicalities of weight loss, I work with you to uncover the deep held beliefs that are holding you back from achieving the health, physique and image you desire and form new beliefs that will provide a rock solid foundation for your new habits.

Over the last 20 years my weight has fluctuated over 4 stone, now that’s not an insignificant amount of weight! Despite never seeing myself as “a sporty person” (one of my untrue negative beliefs) I was always able to shift the weight but it would inevitably return because those negative beliefs were still there, blocking me from forming new habits to maintain my new physique.

It was after these many fluctuations I realised the key wasn’t in calculating my calories ( though this still does need to be done) but in unpicking my mind and CHOOSING my beliefs and habits rather than them choosing me! I took control and now supported by new strategies, maintain the physique I’ve always wanted. This is a lifelong process filled with learning and enjoyment at your results once you commit to mastering your habits.
