My Tutoring for You

I was a primary school teacher for many, many years and with Covid and health issues, I wanted to find a better way to make an impact. I found in school, you had to choose who to help - my passion has always been those children who are struggling - dare I say - who have been given up on! Now, I get to work with those children and allow them to blossom!

I don't believe tutoring is all about the academics. I work with each and every child holistically! I begin by building a relationship with them, assessing their learning (and their attitude to learning), in order to find any gaps and barriers stopping them from achieving. I begin with transforming their attitude - learning should be fun! SO I find ways that will engage them and motivate them. I let the children lead the learning whilst scaffolding it carefully to ensure they are able to make the best progress they are capable off. We work with goals and they can see the steps needed to reach them - everything I do with children is achievable for them whilst allowing challenge!

I do both in person (DA8) in small groups (maximum of 4 children per group) and online tutoring.

We have a Covid Cancellation Policy - where anybody testing positive or with symptoms will be able to cancel that session, myself included. We try to maintain relative distance where possible and for parents who would like, online provision is provided.
