My Homecare Durham

I worked for the company for a short period after retiring from nursing (in the same role for 31 years). I left after 8 weeks to go and work in a nursing home. However, the grass isn't always greener! and I am thankfully returning to the role at My Homecare. I was welcomed back with open arms. I have worked for this company for nearly 3 months now. I have to say I really enjoy the job. The clients and their families are lovely. And the care staff I work with are brilliant and work alongside each other well. The management team are great. They listen to anything you have to say or concerns you might have. I have been in receipt of home care services from My Homecare (Durham) for over twelve months. I am bed-bound through osteoarthritis and need to be hoisted, thus requiring two carers for each visit. The manager has been helpful and supportive both during her initial home visit and in follow-up contacts. Carers always arrive dressed smartly and appropriately in their company uniform. They are knowledgeable about their responsibilities and clearly well trained to respond to both my personal situation and my needs. They adapt well to changes, constantly monitoring what they are doing and always explain and discuss their actions with me before, during and after each procedure. The carers work well together as a team and always appear happy and cheerful during their visits. Nothing is too much trouble!
