I attended a wedding on August 1st 2019 where Martin was the DJ. He was very talented, very friendly and really seemed to enjoy his job. The Happy Couple were delighted with his professionalism and I would highly recommend Music Matters to anyone who wants a stress free, enjoyable experience. He followed the music list he was given and took requests too. He played for as long as the hotel would allow him too. We booked Andrew for our wedding in Dublin 2 this September and he did an excellent job. We had no preceeding band and he arrived in good time for set up, as well as staying till last orders that night. He played a combo of our wishlist (cheesy 90s and 80s) and our guests requests/crowd pleasers, which kept the floor full and everyone very happy. Martin, our DJ for the night, was absolutely brilliant. We gave him a list of songs that we wanted to be played during the night and he mixed them up brilliantly with some other great floor fillers. The floor was practically full from the first to the last song. He also took requests and checked in with me to make sure everything was going according to plan. Martin was also a very nice guy top boot and did his job very professionally during the night, allowing us to relax and enjoy ourselves. I'm extremely pleased that we went with Music Matters for our wedding DJ.We had suspected that we were not going to have a separate band before the DJ, and having met the guys and discussed this with them, this idea was cemented. We had a casual, friendly meeting with them in a hotel bar, where we discussed some of the specifics and the overall feel for the evening.We had provided a list of songs we like, and clarified that this was not to be a "playlist" as such, but a flexible guideline to give an idea of our preferred styles. We explained that we would also be sending song request cards with our invitations. Consequent communication and payment were also quite straightforward; despite our being in England and the wedding in Northern Ireland, it never felt like we were out of the loop.On the night everything was just fantastic. The DJ, as discussed, played to the guests' overall tastes, and had nearly everyone on their feet at some point or other - he played a few songs which I might not have thought to ask for myself, but which worked perfectly in his set. He even had no difficulty sourcing some slightly more obscure songs I had asked for (DJ Shadow and The Frames!)The mixing skills were immaculate; certainly over and above what I would ever have expected from a private-function DJ - we were even treated to some impeccable live scratching in some of the more electronic tracks in the middle of his set!I received a tremendous number of compliments on our choice of DJ. Their talent, professionalism and sense of fun certainly went a long way toward making our day.
