I had a brilliant deep tissue massage from Marek in the comforts of my home. He is an excellent massage therapist who listens to his clients. He was punctual, friendly and professional.
Marek knew exactly what he was doing and the whole experience was not rushed at all. He took his time and worked all over while making sure that I was comfortable and relaxed. By the end of the treatment I felt like I was floating on air.
Also I like that fact that his hours are very flexible.
Would thoroughly recommend and use again.

If you need a Registered Therapist - a Hypnotherapist - for instance make sure they are registered with the CNHC. The CNHC means they are properly trained and qualified. The CNHC is a regulatory body in the UK which provides a voluntary register of Complimentary Therapists. It is approved by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care. More...

The closest thing we have to regulation for hypnotherapy.
It helps to raise and maintain high standards within the profession, and differentiate between professionally trained and insured therapists and those who have chosen an easier and perhaps less accountable route.

I'm glad to have made the decision to be registered via CNHC. Clients tell me they have chosen me when searching for a Reiki therapist online because they are confident that my CNHC registration ensures that I will be a safe pair of hands.

As a member of the CNHC register I find their services and support invaluable and would recommend any one who is a professional in the healthcare field to join them. They are always there to help you and deal with any issues you may have in a lovely manner. They also keep you up to date with all the relevant information which as a busy practitioner you are not always able to do. Thank you every one at CNHC More...

I am also a CNHC registered practitioner and the organisation is doing a fantastic job at helping therapists boost their business. They are very supportive and are known for the high standards of professionalism. I've had clients tell me that the main reason for seeing me in therapy is because I'm CNHC registered, and therefore they know they get a great quality treatment! More...

As a Reiki therapist and teacher of many years I feel a national register is essential. So many new age add ons have been allowed to pile onto the pure and gentle Usui Japanese Reiki.
However I do feel the CNHC should do more to promote members / therapies .... I give many treatments and run courses every month. I have yet to meet one person who has ever heard of the CNHC ... IMHO?

I can't believe it has taken me this long to write a review, but Anne deserves ALL the praise! I found her by chance on Facebook a year ago. Since then, she has made monthly (if not more frequent) visits to our home for massage. She has been the biggest blessing to our mental and physical health, from general full body massage, arm/nerve pain, insomnia, lower back issues, etc. She is kind, easy to talk to, SO thoughtful and a great masseuse. I highly recommend Anne for all your massage needs! More...

Q&As

My job is hugely rewarding I love helping my clients achieve new levels of healing, relaxation and well-being.

Enjoying a freedom of being your own boss, flexibility and control.

I am a massage therapist because I simply enjoy my work and want to help people. Massage Therapy is good for your health. It is no longer seen as just a luxury. Massage is now being used in a number of clinical areas for treatment of medical problems such as asthma, anxiety, bronchitis, headaches, allergies, sports injuries, and in patients with joint and muscle diseases like arthritis and fibromyalgia. There are many more positive health benefits of massage which I like to share with my Patients.

Services

Whether you’re in good health, a professional athlete, or just keeping fit, I understand that nothing is more frustrating than being unable to train because of pain and injury. Recent studies have shown that in addition to treating & preventing injuries, regular sports massage can actually help boost sporting performance and reduce recovery times after events. Despite the name everyone can benefit from a sports massage whether injured or not.
Sports Massage or Soft Tissue Therapy is the manipulation and mobilisation of soft tissue structures such as muscles, tendons, ligaments and connective tissue. It helps to improve muscle functionality increasing flexibility and elasticity of the muscle fibres. It does also release tension and is effective in reducing pain and discomfort.

When muscle tension builds up and it is not treated effectively, in the long term it can cause chronic pain and may lead to injuries. Regular treatment can help to prevent injury.

Holistic massage is similar to sports massage, with all of the same training and knowledge needed by the therapist. So essentially, you do get all of the above. But it’s also very different, which means you get a little something extra. It gives us a foundation in all the basic techniques, working with the muscular system, promoting circulation and aiding lymphatic flow – you know, all of the technical bits. But it also looks at your body as a whole, including your mindset, emotions and lifestyle, and provides a treatment that not only helps heal your mechanical issues, but makes you feel better and more relaxed in yourself. Holistic massage is often accompanied by aftercare advice, suggested yoga poses and strengthening exercises or stretches to help prolong the effects of the massage.

Deep tissue massage is a form of massage therapy that is used to realign the deeper layers of the muscles and connective tissues—addressing and resolving the underlying problems that can lead to chronic pain and stiffness. It differs from regular massage treatments; in that it addresses deeper, more rooted issues in the muscles and ligaments, and allows treatments to be more vigorous, successful and long-lasting.
When a person experiences ongoing stiffness, tension, or sustained injury to their muscles, tendons and ligaments, these form a band of rigid inflexible tissues called adhesions (known colloquially as “knots”). While most adhesions are relatively minor, extreme cases can block circulation, limit movement and flexibility, and be extremely painful. Often, the only way to address these adhesions is through deep tissue massage treatments.
