Almost immediate results. Roy knows his stuff and I witnessed immediate changes. I am now officially leader of the pack and can see light at the end of the tunnel. He makes it look so easy and it was extremely useful and helpful to be able to learn through relevant examples in my own home. Can now feed my dogs in the same room and they haven't ventured across the invisible line into the kitchen. I have Ruffwalkers to come in to check on my 9 week old puppy twice a week whilst I’m at work! Over the moon with them. They let him out to do his business and give him a good run around the garden. We’ve been struggling with our 3 year old Labrador’s behaviour both on and off the lead. We invited Roy over for a chat and to meet her. Within that meeting and a 1 hour session we have a completely different dog! She can now walk in towns and pay absolutely no attention to other dogs and doesn’t pull!

Initially used for dog walking and feeding whilst away less stressful and more economic than kennels Prompt ,efficient ,effective, trustworthy and honest ; dogs content and well exercised .
Both dogs then had a behavioural session . Barking , attachment and unpredictable temperament issues . A dramatic turnaround in behaviour is evident . I have been given strategies for onward behavioural training and management . I am more confident and less stressed and my dogs are similar knowing that I am in charge . Fantastic chap. Roy is very friendly, and obviously a doggy person. He listened to our issues, then offered advice, instruction and practical tips to help us overcome some of them, as we are still a work in progress! !
Since his visit we feel more able to deal with our ‘pack’ and know that he is only a phone call away if needed.

Roy came to us today to help us with one of our dogs who was becoming a real problem with leaping out of the car and barking and antagonising the others. It was extremely stressful and we actually started to resent him, which we know sounds awful but he had driven us to the brink. In only an hour and a half we couldn’t believe our eyes...we had a dog that actually sat in the boot and STAYED there!! Tonight we’ve gone out with all 5 of them which is much more challenging to control but the improvement was amazing. We now need to keep up the reinforcement and apply the Learning Roy gave to us. All we can say is thank you very much Roy, we’ve gone from feeling total despair and stress and even thoughts of rehoming ,to enjoying our walks with our previously troublesome dog. Fabtastic! We had booked a holiday cottage in Fowey before we got our puppy (Teddy), but it turned out the cottage wasn't pet-friendly, so we contacted Roy at Ruff Walkers to see if he could take care of Teddy overnight but we would have him through the day. Roy and his lovely wife were so helpful and agreed to do just that.

We have, however (at Roy's suggestion) ended up leaving Teddy (we're in Fowey just now on our holiday) with Roy all the time and have just been popping up for wee visits (we have been missing him so much (Teddy, not Roy) so had to top-up on cuddles and licks). Roy's skills as an animal behaviourist have worked wonders, and also Teddy has learned so much him and from being part of the pack (there are a few other wee adorable dogs staying there too)! He looks really happy when we see him, and is so calm and chilled out it's clear he's having a wonderful holiday too!

I'm so glad I found Ruffwalkers details online - they really are the very best of the best. We are completely relaxed knowing Teds is in a loving, learning, fun environment - and we'll be going home with a happy pup who has learned loads of new things (including that his bathroom is outside not in the living room Yaayyy - too late for the carpet though - but yayyyyy), and to know to stop doing things when he is told to. We've also learned some really incredibly stuff that will help us so much to help Teds continue to be a happy, well-behaved dog.

I love Roy's ethos and passion about what Ruffwalkers is about. He has a team who work with him who are just as dedicated and enthusiastic as him - and I'm so impressed that he is investing in them by supporting them to become trained professionals in a variety of dog-related therapies/training.

Thank you so much Ruffwalkers - we will be back!

Only just met ruff walkers last week took my dog ace out for his first walk this week. Found I had to go away on short notice. Contacted my dog walker to see if he could come and let the dogs out as they were on Thier own. not a problem. Fantastic company nothing to must. After thinking no one in the world could help my little pup with travel sickness, along comes Roy with his healing hands and cures her!
We are absolutely amazed and beyond grateful that we are no longer restricted to only walking our local area!

Roy came over 3 weeks ago to help my Yorkshire terrier he was an absolute nightmare - barking all the time at anything- messing everywhere literally controlled the house ! Lex was literally bouncing off the walls with his boundless energy, despite long walks and ball play, lots of toys and stimulating games but he never settles to nap. He had to stand on his hind legs when I iron or dust, peel veg. If holding a conversation with anyone he looks as if he's watching a game of high speed tennis. Two sessions with Roy over two weeks. Can’t thank Roy enough for the help he has given me with my two golden retrievers. One of them was a bit anxious and barked at children and people that frightened her. After two weeks her behaviour is better in the house and out today I learnt how to try and prevent her barking. Will report back in a couple of weeks to let you know how things are going.
