Personal Trainers

Del has been a dream trainer! I never thought I'd be able to stick out exercising for longer than a few weeks, let alone enjoy it, especially as I hadn't exercised in years, and I had a negative experience with a personal trainer before. Del took the time to understand me, my experiences and my goals, and based on this he tailored his approach. He struck a beautiful balance between pushing me and knowing when to slow down. His sessions are so much more than just focusing on weight or shape, but also about building strength, body-mind connection and understanding oneself. I learned so much about how my way of talking to myself during exercise was also my way of talking to myself in other areas of my life. I feel stronger, healthier and more confident in my abilities to take on challenges after just 6 months, ready for my wedding in a few days! Working with Del over the last 6months has been transformational. Not only can I finally manage my own body weight by performing full push-ups, I am now also free from back pain.
The most incredible part of all is that my relationship with my children have improved because I understand myself better, I know what makes me react to situations in ways I'd rather not and I feel so much more personal confidence. The aspects you need to apply to physical training are so transferrable into every day life but I never would have realised this without Del's help.

Personal Trainers

I decided to get myself a personal trainer back in July this year. I had been working from home since lockdown began in March and I slowly managed to put on quite a few pounds sitting on my bottom in front of my computer. My mental and physical health was not doing me any favours so I knew I had to do something about it.

I was lucky enough to find Del who became my personal trainer.

I’ve never had a personal trainer before and certainly not a PT via zoom!

But nevertheless this did it deter my away from getting fit. I started my sessions with Del, this was probably the best way to get me into working out with a one-to-one.

Personal Trainers

I decided to get myself a personal trainer back in July this year. I had been working from home since lockdown began in March and I slowly managed to put on quite a few pounds sitting on my bottom in front of my computer.

My mental and physical health was not doing me any favours so I knew I had to do something about it.

I was lucky enough to find Del who became my personal trainer.

I’ve never had a personal trainer before and certainly not a PT via zoom!

But nevertheless this did not deter me from getting fit.

I began my one hour sessions three times a week and slowing and surely as time went by I started to feel healthier, fitter and I became more active. I have so far lost 1 stone 10 pounds which is amazing!

Del has allowed me to understand how to keep fit in an enjoyable way. The exercises I do with him are varied and I’ve now been introduced to the kettlebell, which a decent piece of equipment.

He also has introduced me to a varied diet which I have adapted to my day-to-day eating and being introduced to other foods that I would not normally eat.

I would highly recommend Del as a personal trainer, he is someone who will help you achieve your goals, whether that be losing weight, getting fit, or wanting a healthier lifestyle.

He is your man!!

Del is a fantastic coach, he pushes you to your limits and gives you all the knowledge you need to hit your goal. His attention to detail is amazing and the experience he has in the industry makes him an excellent trainer.

I worked along side a really nice gentlemen, Del. He helped understand somethings that I was having a hard time accepting. He helped pin point my weaknesses and strengths, and we found ways to build on my strengths and ways to overcome my weaknesses. He helped me to accept my past and leave it there.

He also helped me through a time of grief when I lost my dad. He just listened and understood.

Despite all this, I wasn't able to carry on with the meetings due to finances and covid. But truly did make a impact on my life and thoughts. He helped me regain focus on whats was more important in life and that certainly wasn't the past.

Del is more than just a personal trainer. Although his knowledge of fitness is second to none, he offers more than just getting you into shape. By working on your mindset and your self-esteem, del gives you the tools to truly believe in yourself. He enables you to get results but also gives you the knowledge and inner strength to keep them.

I trained with Del for 10 weeks in preparation for a White Collar Boxing Event.

He is very knowledgeable, motivating, friendly and will always put the needs of his clients first. Without Del I wouldn't have been ready for the fight and wouldn't have been able to get the Win that we both wanted so much. I was the underdog and nobody thought that I could win. However, Del's confidence in my ability was something which helped me to progress so much in a short period of time and prove everyone wrong.

Del not only taught me the fundamental skills needed to box, but helped me to reach my peak fitness levels and develop a strong mind. This was enabled through Del's hard work and commitment to design a programme tailored to my needs and lifestyle.

I believe it is very important for regular communication outside of sessions, and this is something that Del offers. I could speak to Del whenever I had any questions, problems or just needed to chat. This made my 10 week plan very enjoyable and maximised the effectiveness of my training.

I have a charity boxing match coming up in November and there was only one person I was going to turn to for my personal training needs to work on the sports specific training of boxing. I have seen Del train many clients in the gym and his fitness knowledge, his personality and most importantly for me his attention to detail in his sessions are second to none. I’ve had personal training sessions in the past where it’s just generic to anyone. Del takes the time to learn our needs and tailor a programme and session based on that. This is a gym you will definitely stick too! it’s so big! Not matter what your doing you have room. I’m not a fan of any gym or exercise, But Alex and his team have done such amazing job at doing something completely different. .. it’s addictive, the atmosphere, the equipment, the classes plus the food is bloody lush!!! 100000% recommend ‍♀️ ️‍♀️ keep up the great work ! One gym has certainly lived up to its expectations for me!
Owners are so friendly and helpful. I couldn’t remember my log on details to reset my password after getting a new phone and they were straight on it sorting it out for me!

There is so much equipment but the quality doesn’t suffer because of this. I am so happy that I am no longer spending time in the gym waiting for equipment! The variety of equipment is also brilliant, being able to exercise muscles I didn’t even know I had!

It’s a huge space with something for everyone, cannot fault it!

I had the pleasure of checking out the new One Gym on it's opening weekend. What an amazing gym!! Loads of cardio machines, so no waiting to use something, lots of free weights and weight machines, lifting platforms, and excellent class studios. I had a friendly welcome from all the staff, and they were really helpful in showing me where everything is. I am a member of the sister gym in Pontypridd, and I'm so pleased that my membership covers use of this gym too, as I am often passing by Newport. I highly recommend you check it out!! More...

Extremely impressive facility, with plenty top quality machines and equipment that enable a good work out on whatever part of the body you wish to work on.
Staff are very helpful and take a genuine interest in you as a client, which makes for a very positive atmosphere - something I’ve not come across with other gyms I’ve been to.
Membership is quick and easy - no fuss, no hassle and really good value for money.
Very highly recommended.

Whether to keep fit or prepare for a fight, I teach boxing to get you there... All my session are teaching how to box like a professional boxer instead of just hitting a pad or the bag.

So by the time you're finished with me you have a life long skill with an amazing mindset too. As boxing is not just about the physical is also about the psychological.
