About
Hi there,
PLEASE READ THE WHOLE THING.
DON'T REQUEST CALLBACKS WHEN ITS OBVIOUS THAT YOU HAVEN'T READ IT, YOU'LL BE ABLE TO EVEN FIND MY NUMBER IF YOU READ THE WHOLE THING AND CONTACT ME YOURSELF.
PLEASE KINDLY STOP SENDING ME REQUESTS FOR DOG WALKING IN AREAS OF LONDON THAT ARE CLEARLY MILES AWAY FOR ME.
AGAIN, READ THE WHOLE THING BELOW.
It's Vi here, I'm a professional fully insured dog walker and house sitter based in Hackney Wick currently training as a Dog Educator at SIUA (School of Human Animal Interaction).
I've been working with dogs for a couple of years, especially with shelter and rescue dogs in Italy.
Here in London I've worked with Londogs Crew in Notting Hill, Elena is a dog educator (SIUA) and trainer and I had the opportunity to experience a full intensive and to learn and absorb a lot about dogs behaviour and communication.
I walked with dogs of any size and age, off and on leash/long lines, alone and in a pack.
AT THE MOMENT:
I'm slowly building a 'pack', I don't randomly put groups of dogs together in a walk. I take my time to get to know each individual dog that comes under my care, it is my prerogative to build a relationship based on trust and to understand each dog's individual needs, personality and behaviour.
I want each dog to have a genuine good time.
TIMINGS OF THE WALK:
I start early in the morning but we're also going into winter and not all dogs want to go out when it's still dark outside, so I'll be flexible on this but would def start walks around 8:30/9am
Most of you want lunch time walks, unfortunately I can't fit you all at the same time, especially if you happen to be in different locations but can try my very best to make it work.
WALKS STRUCTURE:
I'd rather walk your dog in a big open space, marshes and woodland types of parks are my preference. Canal side walks can also be quite stimulating.
The initial part is active, sniffing, play, socialising with other dogs if they're willing.
There's always a come down phase, drinking water, gnarling on the ball or stick, enjoying a little treat, sitting and laying down, relaxing, cuddling if they like it.
It could also happen that your dog may need to get used to the city environment, the high street with its noise and perhaps learn to take the bus, happy to assist with this, too.
We can discuss and discover your dog's needs together.
The walks are a min of 60' max 90'.
I can also offer longer walks for a an extra.
I do pick up and drop off.
Also, I prefer to walk dogs in a harness than a collar, if you haven't introduced your dog to an harness I'll be happy to assist in this.
COVERED AREAS:
I'm in E9 and fully dependant on public transport, I can travel up to a max of 40' to reach your location, if you can find another dog in your same area in need of a walk that would make it easier for me to accept to travel distances.
THE DIFFICULT PART, MONEY:
£25 per walk (60'/90')
Currently offering a 20% off on the Monday to Friday service, that makes it £100 a week.
Discounts available for walks for two+ dogs of the same household.
Weekends and evening walks have a extra surcharge.
IF YOU'RE LIKING WHAT YOU'RE READING AND WOULD LIKE ME TO WALK YOUR DOG:
I always want the dog to get a sniff of me and decide for themselves if they like me and feel comfortable around me so I'll come around your place to introduce myself to you and your dog.
We will also go on a walk together as I'd like to see your routine and how your dog is on a walk with you.
Happy to accommodate after work meetings.
Kindly be ready to show me your dog's vet records, vaccination and insurance and please share as much as you can with me about your dog, i'm all ears for real.
