Hypnotherapy

Nicole has worked with my daughter to help reduce her anxiety. Nicole is extremely calm and caring. She took the time to get to know my daughter and understand her anxiety and the impact it has. She talked to her about the hypnotherapy and what to expect and put her at ease. She had four sessions in all. From the second session we notably saw improvement, she was able to control the tightness in her chest and avoid it bringing on an asthma attack. I qualified as a hypnotherapist in 2014 and then went on to gain an Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapuetic Counselling. As soon as I started learning about hypnotherapy, I was hooked! I love seeing the positive effects hypnotherapy has on my clients and how they are able to change their lives for the better. Being able to combine hypnotherapy with counselling skills and mindfulness techniques enables me to treat each client holistically and tailor sessions to meet their individual needs. It is very rewarding to hear from my clients that they have been freed from a crippling anxiety disorder, or been able to overcome phobias that that had affected them for years.

My work is person-centred and solution focussed. This means I tailor my treatments to suit you, to address the issues which are causing you difficulties. Through our sessions, you will make positive changes, gain confidence, increase your self-esteem and feel more in control.
Because I understand it can be daunting to approach a therapist and explain your difficulties, I won’t judge you, but will offer a safe and confidential space to explore your concerns. I am a fully qualified and experienced mental health professional; I hold a Masters in Social Work from Nottingham University, and I worked in mental health and psychiatry for 15 years. I have been trained in the use of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness techniques, and I have a Diploma in Sports Psychology.

Hypnotherapy works very effectively online. I offer online sessions via zoom.

I am fully vaccinated and routinely do lateral flow tests. I maintain social distancing during therapy sessions and I ensure the furniture in my therapy room is cleaned with antibacterial wipes after every client. I offer online sessions via zoom.

Hypnotherapy is particularly effective for anxiety, stress and depression, and can also be used to improve performance, treat phobias or make lifestyle changes.

I offer rapid, effective treatment for PTSD. Relief from flashbacks, nightmares, intrusive thoughts and panic attacks in 2-3 sessions.
