About

My background is in working with the nervous system and it's role in stress. I provide various ways - depending on your needs - of helping you to suffer less in your own personal issues, and then to thrive using counselling and psychotherapy or mindfulness training.

Q&As

I love watching my clients have their own 'aha' moments that lead to a new way of thinking or feeling, then by default behaving in their world. Uncovering with them painful wounds they had protected themselves from and processing them so these wounds no longer hold them back. I like to work with the very young part of people, where appropriate, that doesn't have a voice as a lot of change and healing can result from working this way. Seeing clients go from feeling hopeless to empowered brings me so much satisfaction.

Having a difficult past and journey inspired me to want to help others. I feel strongly that while life can be difficult, a lot can be done to reduce the suffering people experience. I started my business to continue helping others.

I provide a safe, non-judgemental space where I will listen to you and pull together the important underlying threads that you may not be aware of. At the right pace, I will challenge you as well as showing you unconditional positve regard. I look for ways you might be sabotging yourself that you are not aware of and tailor the way I work to what you need. My work is informed by Transactional Analysis, a great modality that sees us as being equal in the room and provides sound theory to work with.

I work on Zoom and telelphone as well as face-to-face.

Our rooms at the clinic are ventilated and cleaned after each use. Set Covid questions are asked before each visit per client and masks can be warn.

Services

Long and short term counselling & psychotherapy, I also offer the 8 week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Course, in person or online.
Awaiting final exam in counselling & psychotherapy so offering low rates (£20 per 50 minute session). I belong to the governing bodies UKATA & NCS. I have over 2 years experience with clients in placement and private practice. I work with couples and individuals.

This one-to-one course includes theory, neuroscience, insight and habit interupting practices as well as guided meditations and small tasks designed to interupt automated thoughts, feelings, beliefs and behaviours. This course tends to give you back more time than it takes by helping you avoid familiar pitfalls and build healthier patterns.

Bringing a new life into the world can cause anxieties, exacerbate existing issues, and comes with new challenges each step of the way from pregnancy, to toddlers, to teens.
Taking care of yourself first through therapy can help you to take control of your anxieties, be emotionally available to your child, understand the impact of your mental wellbeing on the development of your foetus / baby / child, know your triggers, stay out of unconscious 'games' and ultimately build a happy healthy bond while maintaining your own welbeing.
It can also help prevent your from bringing your own trauma from childhood into your relationships with your children.
