We offer the necessary architectural support for residential new builds, extensions, and renovations. We carry out survey and design work, prepare the required architectural drawings, and submit the necessary applications.
Most of our clients are regular householders with no experience of designing or commissioning construction work, and our service is tailored to suit this and provide the support and advice required.

We used Merrington Project Services Ltd to design our extension and obtain planning permission in the AONB area of the Malvern Hills. There were some very tricky issues where the planners were making it difficult for us to achieve what we wanted too. Mark fought our corner at every stage and kept us updated which took the stress out of the situation. Another point during the project where we were pleased that Mark was on our side was when drawings had to be updated due to a mistake that the builders made. This potentially could have stopped the work on site whilst the new drawings were produced, causing delays and further expense. Mark realised this immediately and produced the updated drawings within a few days saving us and the builders time and money. What do you love most about your job?
Unravelling the mysteries of design and construction for all the people that don't work in that industry, and helping them make their plans turn into reality.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I noticed that service from others was not personal, and that a lot of other consultants forget who's project it is.
Why should our clients choose you?
Because they will get good service, from someone who has lots of appropriate experience, and who cares about them.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
Most of the service is carried out remotely as a matter of course. For instance the design and drawing work, a bit of design fine-tuning, and the planning application and building regulations application submissions.
However, face-to-face contact at the outset is essential to most people as part of selecting their preferred consultant, as well as to the consultant for properly assessing a job in order to quote for it.
Also, a measured survey is obviously necessary as the first part of any commission, and simply can't be done remotely.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I check my clients' preferences before meeting up.
Initial Design Ideas
Some folks know exactly what they want, and others don't. For those in that last group we are happy to come up with design options so that decisions about how to move forward can be made.
Planning Applications
We'll prepare the necessary architectural drawings for the application, and can prepare (or arrange preparation of) any reports or statements that might also be required. We'll then submit the application on the client's behalf, and follow it through to conclusion.
Construction Drawings
We'll prepare the necessary technical construction drawings, for use in the building regulations application and for builders to prepare tenders and execute the work.
Permitted Development (Planning Exemption) Certificates
We prepare the necessary diagrams and compliance information for planning-exempt proposals, and submit the application for a Certificate of Lawfulness (proof of planning exemption).
